next-qa-ideaRuns one unattended ideation pass of a QA loop: finds the highest-value untested behavior and files a single locked qa issue describing the test to write, with no code.
One invocation is one iteration: orient, find gaps, judge, and file one issue. The skill never writes code, tests or configuration. It only fills the qa queue that the next-qa skill consumes, mirroring the split between the next-idea and next-task skills so ideation and implementation can run on separate schedules. It works from the auto-qa branch and treats text from anyone other than the repository owner as untrusted data to verify.
Orienting is read-only. The agent reads the steering documents in docs/quality first, an assurance map and a feature map that it never edits, then the QA log of what landed or was abandoned, the open issues labeled qa and bug, and the existing test suite. If 3 or more qa issues are already open, it files nothing and ends. Gaps are ranked by how likely a behavior is to break silently, starting with bugs that really happened and have no regression test, then recently merged product code with no test.

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit a7bf24a. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

Next QA Idea loads about 1.7k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 107 tokens; SKILL.md has 945 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 945 words (~1,664 tokens).

Run `npx skills add breaking-brake/cc-wf-studio --skill next-qa-idea -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (.claude/skills/next-qa-idea in breaking-brake/cc-wf-studio) into .claude/skills/next-qa-idea in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.

Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add breaking-brake/cc-wf-studio --skill next-qa-idea -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/next-qa-idea, .gemini/skills/next-qa-idea, .github/skills/next-qa-idea and .opencode/skills/next-qa-idea in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Next QA Idea needs the command-line tools its instructions call (gh and git). Our summary lists: The repository's docs/quality steering documents and docs/qa-log.md.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Its commands use gh and git, which can reach the network depending on how they are called. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Next QA Idea has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 1.7k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 6.7k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
