next-qaRuns one unattended iteration of a QA loop: tend any open QA pull request, then build one queued qa issue as tests or test tooling only and open a PR.
One invocation is one iteration: guard, pick a single queued `qa` issue, then build and record it. The loop exists because the feature loop's merge gate only proves the code compiles through `pnpm build` and `pnpm check`, not that it behaves, so this loop adds an automated test suite that turns regressions into red CI builds. It works on an `auto-qa` integration branch, a sibling of `auto-dev`; both branch from main, a human promotes each to main, and neither merges into the other.
The scope is strict: it never edits product source under `packages/*/src`. It may create test files and fixtures under each package's `src/__tests__/` tree, test configuration such as the vitest config, `.github/workflows/ci.yml` only to run and gate on tests, and `docs/qa-log.md`. If a test exposes a real product bug, it files a bug issue and lands the test skipped. Only the repository owner's own issue text and what the agent verified in code count as the spec; other authors' text is a report to check, not instructions.
4 steps, taken from the step headings in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit a7bf24a. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
pnpmghgitFrom the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md. Its commands use pnpm, gh and git, which can reach the network depending on how they are called.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Next QA Loop loads about 2.5k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 107 tokens; SKILL.md has 1,431 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 1,431 words (~2,459 tokens).
“One invocation = one iteration: guard → pick ONE queued qa issue → build & record.”

Runs one unattended iteration of a QA loop: tend any open QA pull request, then build one queued qa issue as tests or test tooling only and open a PR.
Next QA Loop fits situations like: making unattended progress on a repository's queued QA issues; adding regression tests for known bugs without touching product code; stewarding an in-flight QA pull request through CI.
Run `npx skills add breaking-brake/cc-wf-studio --skill next-qa -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (.claude/skills/next-qa in breaking-brake/cc-wf-studio) into .claude/skills/next-qa in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add breaking-brake/cc-wf-studio --skill next-qa -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (.claude/skills/next-qa in breaking-brake/cc-wf-studio) into .agents/skills/next-qa in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add breaking-brake/cc-wf-studio --skill next-qa -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/next-qa, .gemini/skills/next-qa, .github/skills/next-qa and .opencode/skills/next-qa in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Next QA Loop needs the command-line tools its instructions call (pnpm, gh and git). Our summary lists: A repository with an auto-qa branch, qa-labeled issues and docs/task-automation.md; pnpm and a CI workflow that runs the test suite.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Its commands use gh and git, which can reach the network depending on how they are called. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Next QA Loop has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 2.5k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 9.8k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
