What it does

One invocation is one iteration of orient, invent, judge and file. The skill never writes code, opens pull requests or merges; it only fills a queue of GitHub issues labeled `idea` that a separate `next-task` skill builds from, so ideation and implementation can run on different models and schedules. Only code the agent verified itself and text from the repository owner's own account count as context, and everything else is untrusted data. The agent first reads `IMPLEMENTATION_PLAN.md` without modifying it, the progress log, and open idea, bug and CI-failure issues, and it files nothing when 5 or more idea issues are already open.

It then invents 3-5 proposals by acting as a user of the extension. Each must serve a value axis from the plan, be something a user would notice, fit in one reviewable pull request, be safe and reversible with no breaking API or schema change, and be verified by reading the relevant code. At most 3 winners are filed as locked issues, best value for effort first. The trigger phrases include a Japanese request for ideas. The excerpt ends before the filing details.

When your agent uses it

  • Generating improvement proposals without implementing anything
  • Refilling an idea queue that an implementation loop consumes
  • Checking proposals against a written value bar before filing them

Example prompts

  • “Run next idea for this repo and file the best proposals.”
  • “Come up with user-visible improvements for the canvas flow, but do not implement them.”
  • “Check the idea queue and skip filing if it is already full.”

Requirements

  • A GitHub repository with an IMPLEMENTATION_PLAN.md file and an idea label
  • Access to GitHub issues

Workflow steps

4 steps, taken from the step headings in SKILL.md.

  1. Orient (read-only, in parallel)
  2. Invent (3–5 proposals)
  3. Judge — the value bar (ALL must hold)
  4. File the winners as locked issues (max 3)

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit a7bf24a. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

    Shell commands in SKILL.md call:

    • gh

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

No URLs in SKILL.md. Its commands use gh, which can reach the network depending on how they are called.

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

Context cost

Next Idea Ideation Loop loads about 1k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 100 tokens; SKILL.md has 539 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~100
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~1k

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

SKILL.md

Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 539 words (~1,022 tokens).
