Automationbench Eval is an agent skill from bionic-gpt/bionic-gpt. Load the repository's AutomationBench OpenAPI catalogue and run evaluations against the local simulator.
Its SKILL.md is about 620 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 2 other files, including scripts (for example `scripts/load-specs.sh`).
It sits in Backend & APIs, covering OpenAPI specifications. It works with OpenAPI. The repository describes itself as: Bionic is sovereign Agentic AI for the enterprise — Runs on-premise and can securely work with your sensitive data and systems. The licence is Apache-2.0.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit c155c00. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Ships 1 file in scripts/ (Shell), which the agent can run.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
bashcurlFrom the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md. Its commands use curl, which can reach the network depending on how they are called.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Automationbench Eval loads about 619 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 31 tokens; SKILL.md has 260 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); the scripts in this folder are not scanned.
The full file from bionic-gpt/bionic-gpt at commit c155c00, republished under its Apache-2.0 licence (© bionic-gpt). 260 words, ~619 tokens.

The OpenAPI source files are committed under:
crates/integration-simulator/specs/*.openapi.jsonThe loader normalizes every imported spec to the local simulator at
http://integration-simulator:8080/api/<service>. It also removes OpenAPI
security declarations, security schemes, and explicit access-token parameters
because the simulator is authentication-free. Business parameters are kept.
Run the repository loader from the repository root:
bash .agents/skills/automationbench-eval/scripts/load-specs.shThe script uses DATABASE_URL, falling back to APP_DATABASE_URL. A custom
spec directory can be supplied as its first argument:
bash .agents/skills/automationbench-eval/scripts/load-specs.sh \
crates/integration-simulator/specsIt upserts global rows in integrations.openapi_specs using each file's
filename, info.title, info.description, and info.x-logo.url. Rows are
active Application specs and are deliberately non-system so they appear in
the existing integration selection screen. The loader does not need a team
ID or user ID, does not create team integrations, and does not create API-key
or OAuth connections.
The loader is safe to rerun. It updates only rows with matching AutomationBench slugs and does not delete unrelated specs or integrations.
After loading, open the Bionic integrations selection screen and select only the services required for the evaluation. The selection screen creates the team-specific integrations using the already-loaded global definitions.
The AutomationBench API is provided by the integration-simulator
service by the local Stack dev profile. Bionic reaches it inside the cluster
at http://integration-simulator:8080. It has one shared deterministic world.
Reset the world before each evaluation:
curl -X POST http://localhost:8880/benchmark/reset \
-H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
-d '{"task":"simple.email_sf_contact_phone_update"}'Use the host port exposed by the local deployment when it differs from
8880. The reset replaces the shared simulator world for all callers.

Automationbench Eval fits situations like: tasks that involve OpenAPI specifications.
Run `npx skills add bionic-gpt/bionic-gpt --skill automationbench-eval -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (.agents/skills/automationbench-eval in bionic-gpt/bionic-gpt) into .claude/skills/automationbench-eval in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add bionic-gpt/bionic-gpt --skill automationbench-eval -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (.agents/skills/automationbench-eval in bionic-gpt/bionic-gpt) into .agents/skills/automationbench-eval in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add bionic-gpt/bionic-gpt --skill automationbench-eval -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/automationbench-eval, .gemini/skills/automationbench-eval, .github/skills/automationbench-eval and .opencode/skills/automationbench-eval in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Automationbench Eval needs a shell for the scripts in its folder and the command-line tools its instructions call (bash and curl). Our summary lists: A Bash shell.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Its commands use curl, which can reach the network depending on how they are called. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. The check reads SKILL.md only: the scripts in the folder are not scanned, so read them before running anything.
Automationbench Eval is published under the Apache-2.0 licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 619 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 2.5k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
Skills that share tags, products or a category with Automationbench Eval: ToolJet Marketplace Plugin Builder (ToolJet/ToolJet, 41k stars), Step Parts (earthtojake/text-to-cad, 18k stars), API Designer (Jeffallan/claude-skills, 12k stars) and OpenAPI to MCP Server (mcp-use/mcp-use, 11k stars).
