houndarr-ciHoundarr's CI workflow reference and branch protection. An agent skill from av1155/houndarr.
Houndarr CI is an agent skill from av1155/houndarr. Houndarr's CI workflow reference and branch protection. Loads when reading or editing .github/workflows/. Covers the 11 required status checks (exact names matter for branch protection), the additional non-required workflows, the paths-ignore + ci-skip pattern that keeps docs-only PRs green, and the rule against changing required check job names.
Its SKILL.md is about 1.2k tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.
It sits in DevOps & Cloud, covering Containers. It works with GitHub Actions, Docker, Python and Ruff. The repository describes itself as: Self-hosted arr companion for controlled missing, cutoff, and upgrade searches. The licence is AGPL-3.0.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 9b39fdb. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
ruffmypypytestuvtrivyhadolintFrom the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md. Its commands use uv, which can reach the network depending on how they are called.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Houndarr CI loads about 1.2k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 90 tokens; SKILL.md has 544 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from av1155/houndarr at commit 9b39fdb, republished under its AGPL-3.0 licence (© av1155). 544 words, ~1,225 tokens.

Houndarr CI fits situations like: tasks that involve Containers.
Run `npx skills add av1155/houndarr --skill houndarr-ci -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (.agents/skills/houndarr-ci in av1155/houndarr) into .claude/skills/houndarr-ci in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add av1155/houndarr --skill houndarr-ci -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (.agents/skills/houndarr-ci in av1155/houndarr) into .agents/skills/houndarr-ci in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add av1155/houndarr --skill houndarr-ci -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/houndarr-ci, .gemini/skills/houndarr-ci, .github/skills/houndarr-ci and .opencode/skills/houndarr-ci in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Houndarr CI needs the command-line tools its instructions call (ruff, mypy, pytest, uv, trivy and hadolint). Our summary lists: Python 3; Docker.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Its commands use uv, which can reach the network depending on how they are called. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Houndarr CI is published under the AGPL-3.0 licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 1.2k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 4.9k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
Skills that share tags, products or a category with Houndarr CI: Code Patterns (Aedelon/claude-code-blueprint, 120 stars), DDNS Build and Release Maintenance (NewFuture/DDNS, 4.7k stars), Docker (EliasOulkadi/shokunin, 114 stars) and Devops Deploy (sickn33/agentic-awesome-skills, 47k stars). The comparison table on this page puts their stars, adoption, token cost, safety result and licence side by side.
