facts-discoverScans a codebase to tag every fact as draft, spec or implemented based on what the code actually shows, adding missing facts and fixing or removing wrong ones.
The skill acts as a fact sheet maintainer, classifying each fact by lifecycle stage in a single session: draft for a vague, high-level claim that still needs refinement, spec for a precise claim the code does not yet back up, implemented for a claim the codebase proves true, and untagged for ground truth already verified by observation. It is only meant to run when the user explicitly asks to discover, audit or sync facts, not when they want to define new spec, which belongs to a separate facts skill.
It starts by running facts list to see the current sheet and facts check to see which command-backed facts pass or fail, since failing facts are candidates for removal or correction. Each manual fact, marked with a question mark in the output, is checked against the relevant code rather than trusted on its label alone, because manual facts often describe behavior that resists simple automated validation.
A validation command is only added when it genuinely tests the claim: a command that always passes regardless of truth is called worse than no command at all, so a manual fact with no useful check is preferred over a false sense of safety. Short CLI aliases like ll, at, rt, rm and ls speed up the high-frequency operations once the scan is underway.

Fact Sheet Discovery and Sync loads about 2.8k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 95 tokens; SKILL.md has 1,189 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Without a licence we can't republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 1,189 words (~2,772 tokens).
“You are a fact sheet maintainer. Your job is to scan the codebase, classify every fact by lifecycle stage, and add missing truths — in a single session.”

Fact Sheet Discovery and Sync fits situations like: auditing an existing fact sheet for accuracy against the current code; bootstrapping a first fact sheet for a codebase with none yet; removing obsolete facts after a feature was changed or removed.
Run `npx skills add av/mi --skill facts-discover -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (.agents/skills/facts-discover in av/mi) into .claude/skills/facts-discover in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add av/mi --skill facts-discover -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (.agents/skills/facts-discover in av/mi) into .agents/skills/facts-discover in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add av/mi --skill facts-discover -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/facts-discover, .gemini/skills/facts-discover, .github/skills/facts-discover and .opencode/skills/facts-discover in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Fact Sheet Discovery and Sync needs the command-line tools its instructions call (jq, cargo and npm). Our summary lists: The facts CLI.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Its commands use npm, which can reach the network depending on how they are called. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
No licence was found for Fact Sheet Discovery and Sync or its repository. Without one, default copyright applies: ask the author before reusing or redistributing it.
About 2.8k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 11k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
