Jev Shopper is an agent skill from autonomous-ai/openharness. Design and verify Jev's shop windows in OpenHarness's viewer, where Jev calls the best buy as prices stream in and spends on paper.
Its SKILL.md is about 750 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.
The repository describes itself as: The ultimate harness for coding agents and beyond. All your agents. All your machines. One command center. Start with code, then follow your curiosity and build across… The licence is MIT.
3 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 74c2733. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
nodeFrom the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names these keys or tokens, usually read from environment variables:
TYPESAFE_API_KEYFrom names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Jev Shopper loads about 750 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 36 tokens; SKILL.md has 370 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from autonomous-ai/openharness at commit 74c2733, republished under its MIT licence (© autonomous-ai). 370 words, ~750 tokens.
.claude/skills/jev-shopper/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder).Jev Shopper runs a live shop window: a few products stream price ticks and Jev (TypeSafe's System
One model) reads the window each tick and calls the best buy — the product furthest below its own
usual price — showing confidence and spending on paper when the signal is strong. The agent
shapes shopper.json — the products, the price noise, the budget and the deal bar. The shop and
its prices are made up.
shopper.json (title, products with price/drift, vol, tickMs, and a style line that
tells Jev a buying strategy). The viewer watches it and Jev adapts live — no restart, no second
server.node "$JEV_DSH/toolchain/check.mjs" verifies the workspace's shopper.json is valid. Run it
before you call a shop done.The viewer shows each product as a price card with a live chart, a spotlight on Jev's "best buy",
a probability bar per product, purchase stamps, the budget left and receipts. Every product has a
hidden fair price (list price, slow drift, now and then a real sale). Jev reads that price plus
noise. vol is the noise and the difficulty dial: at 0.01 Jev's deal calls are right almost every
time and buys save about 16%; at 0.15 wobbles pass for deals, calls are right about half the time
and buys save about 3%.
node "$JEV_DSH/toolchain/check.mjs" returns non-zero when shopper.json is invalid (no title,
fewer than two products, a non-positive price, duplicate names, out-of-range vol, tickMs, cash, minDeal or drift, more than 8 products). It
doesn't replace watching the calls: confirm Jev buys during real sales (tick "show the hidden
fair price" in the pane to see them), and that turning vol up makes it buy wobbles instead.
toolchain/jev.mjs exports a small client. Example (from the workspace) — ask Jev's read on a
window before you commit to it:
node --input-type=module -e '
import { evaluate, jev } from "$JEV_DSH/toolchain/jev.mjs";
const res = await evaluate({
state: "Pick the best value. Prices tick live: Espresso Machine: 240.62 (+2.1% over 6 ticks) vol 8% — Hiking Boots: 119.50 (-4.2% over 6 ticks) vol 8% — Desk Lamp: 45.00 (-3.1% over 6 ticks) vol 8%. Which is the best buy to act on now?",
questions: {
buy: jev.choice(["Espresso Machine", "Hiking Boots", "Desk Lamp"], "Which product is the best buy to act on right now?"),
},
});
console.log(JSON.stringify(res.answers, null, 2));
'Without TYPESAFE_API_KEY this uses the deterministic mock; set the key to hit live Jev.

Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Jev Shopper needs the command-line tools its instructions call (node) and credentials named TYPESAFE_API_KEY. Our summary lists: A credential in TYPESAFE_API_KEY.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Jev Shopper is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 750 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 3k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
