Using Arcgentic is an agent skill from Arch1eSUN/Arcgentic. Entry skill for the arcgentic plugin — establishes the four-role workflow (planning / dev+self-audit / external-audit / reference-tracking), the round state machine, and when to switch roles or dispatch sub-agents. Use when starting any session in a project that has .agentic-rounds/state.yaml present, OR when the user mentions arcgentic / round-driven development / external audit / four-role workflow.
Its SKILL.md is about 1.5k tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.
It sits in Agent Workflows, covering Subagents. The repository describes itself as: Mechanical plan/dev/self-audit/external-audit gates for AI coding agents, with a configurable role-routing topology engine, an MCP-UI live status panel, and native-tooling Claude… The licence is MIT.
3 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 8539955. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
bashFrom the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Using Arcgentic loads about 1.5k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 105 tokens; SKILL.md has 534 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

.claude/skills/using-arcgentic/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder).arcgentic is an agentic harness for round-driven development. It turns the four-role engineering workflow into a mechanically-enforced state machine where every transition is gated, every artifact is structured, and every lesson is codified.
Announce at start: "I'm using the arcgentic:using-arcgentic skill to navigate the round workflow."
BEFORE ANY ACTION IN A ROUND-DRIVEN PROJECT:
1. Read .agentic-rounds/state.yaml (single source of truth)
2. Run scripts/state/pickup.sh — get your role + action
3. Load the role-specific skill if applicable
4. Then act| Role | When | Skill | State |
|---|---|---|---|
| planner | Round intake → handoff doc | arcgentic:plan-round | intake, planning |
| developer | Handoff → commit chain | arcgentic:execute-round | dev_in_progress, fix_in_progress |
| auditor | Commits → verdict | arcgentic:audit-round | awaiting_audit, audit_in_progress |
| closeout | PASS verdict → anchored close | arcgentic:close-round | passed |
| ref-tracker | Daily git fetch + categorize | arcgentic:track-refs | (continuous) |
Each role has a dedicated skill. In multi-session mode, load only the skill for
the role named by state/pickup or by arcgentic session-mode prompt --role.
Main session loads arcgentic:orchestrate-round. Acts as orchestrator. Dispatches sub-agents (orchestrator.md → auditor.md → ...) via Claude Code's Task tool when role-switching is needed. State machine advances after each sub-agent's structured output is verified.
Use when: independent developer / small project / no team coordination needed.
Each role runs in its own Claude session. Each session loads only its role's skill. State.yaml is the inter-session protocol — every session starts by reading it.
Use when: team of humans / different humans want different role contexts / role-specific skill loading must not contaminate other role's contexts.
Both modes share the same state.yaml schema and the same gate scripts. The mode
is a project-level decision in project.session_mode; do not ask again per
round once it is set.

completeness and strict audit-check before writing the closed stateThe literal first thing to do, every session:
bash $PLUGIN_ROOT/scripts/state/pickup.sh --state-file ./.agentic-rounds/state.yaml($PLUGIN_ROOT is where this plugin is installed; on Claude Code default: ~/.claude/plugins/arcgentic/)
The pickup output tells you which role + which action. Then load the corresponding skill or follow the handoff doc.
If .agentic-rounds/state.yaml doesn't exist:
bash $PLUGIN_ROOT/scripts/state/init.sh \
--project-root . \
--project-name "<your-project-name>" \
--round-naming "<your-naming-pattern, e.g. phase.round[.fix]>"This creates the state.yaml in intake state. You're ready.

Asvarox/allkaraoke
A skill your agent uses when executing implementation plans with independent tasks in the current session
ultralisp/ultralisp
A skill your agent uses when facing 2+ independent tasks that can be worked on without shared state or sequential dependencies
getpaseo/paseo
Launches one separate agent through Paseo to give a second opinion on the current task, with a self-contained briefing and no permission to edit files.

openobserve/openobserve
Splits a change into planner, coder and independent reviewer roles: you confirm a spec, a subagent implements it, and a separate reviewer checks each round's local WIP commit.

SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.

About 1.5k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 5.8k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
