What it does

Requesting Code Review is an agent skill from 6BNBN/FlowPilot. Use when completing tasks, implementing major features, or before merging to verify work meets requirements.

Its SKILL.md is about 360 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 1 other file (for example `code-reviewer.md`).

It sits in Development, covering Code review. The repository describes itself as: 一句需求,自动拆任务、并行多代理写码、断点恢复、验证收尾。FlowPilot 让 Claude Code / Codex / Cursor / snow-cli 进入真正的自动开发流程。 The licence is MIT.

Workflow steps

  1. Gather the context to review
  2. Dispatch a review subagent
  3. Act on the findings

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 57b1d49. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

    No URLs in SKILL.md.

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

Context cost

Requesting Code Review loads about 355 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 33 tokens; SKILL.md has 168 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~33
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~355

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

Requesting Code Review

Dispatch a review subagent or run the code-review workflow before issues compound.

When to Request Review

Mandatory:

  • After each task in subagent-driven development
  • After a major feature lands
  • Before merge to main

Optional but valuable:

  • When stuck and you want a fresh perspective
  • Before a risky refactor
  • After fixing a subtle bug

How to Request

  1. Gather the context to review:

    • what changed
    • what it was supposed to do
    • the relevant diff or commit range
  2. Dispatch a review subagent:

    • use spawn_agent
    • give it the requirements, diff context, and any relevant AGENTS.md guidance
    • when reviewing GitHub PRs, include the PR number and gh workflow details if available
  3. Act on the findings:

    • fix critical issues immediately
    • fix important issues before proceeding
    • document any deferred minor issues

Review Prompt Inputs

  • WHAT_WAS_IMPLEMENTED
  • PLAN_OR_REQUIREMENTS
  • BASE_SHA
  • HEAD_SHA
  • DESCRIPTION

Red Flags

  • Skipping review because the change feels simple
  • Ignoring critical issues
  • Proceeding with unfixed important issues
  • Accepting review feedback without technical verification

See code-reviewer.md for the reusable review prompt template.
