context-modesStructured work modes for agent sessions. An agent skill from 0xNyk/lacp.
Context Modes is an agent skill from 0xNyk/lacp. Structured work modes for agent sessions. Set LACPCONTEXTMODE to activate: tdd (red-green-refactor), debugging (4-phase root cause), sprint (pre-agreed criteria), verification (evidence-before-claims), brainstorm (design first), think (pause-and-reflect), orchestrate (task decomposition). Each mode injects behavioral rules at session start.
Its SKILL.md is about 310 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 11 other files (for example `brainstorm.md`, `debugging.md` and `handoff-resume.md`).
It sits in Agent Workflows, covering Test-driven development, Verification before completion and Task breakdown. The repository describes itself as: Local-first policy, evidence, memory, and recovery controls for Claude, Codex, Hermes, and other CLI coding agents. The licence is MIT.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit e31f134. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Context Modes loads about 313 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 90 tokens; SKILL.md has 92 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from 0xNyk/lacp at commit e31f134, republished under its MIT licence (© 0xNyk). 92 words, ~313 tokens.

| Mode | Purpose |
|---|---|
tdd | Strict RED-GREEN-REFACTOR — no code without a failing test |
debugging | 4-phase systematic root cause investigation |
sprint | Pre-agreed completion criteria evaluated at stop |
verification | Evidence-before-claims discipline |
brainstorm | Design exploration — no code until design approved |
think | Pause-and-reflect before every action chain |
orchestrate | Decompose into subtasks before executing |
implementation | Focused implementation partner |
review | Code review mode |
thinking-partner | Challenge assumptions, surface blind spots |
handoff-resume | Continue from previous session handoff |
Each mode is a markdown file that gets injected as system context at session start.

Habitat-Thinking/ai-literacy-superpowers
A skill your agent uses when designing a new plugin component (skill, agent, command, or backing script) for the ai-literacy-superpowers plugin or a sister plugin in this marketplace.
addyosmani/agent-skills
Delivers a change in thin vertical slices, each implemented, tested, verified and committed before the next, using vertical, contract-first or risk-first slicing.
joesaby/astro-mermaid
End-to-end workflow for resolving a GitHub issue in astro-mermaid — triages complexity, then runs brainstorm → TDD → implement → docs/spec → code review at the right depth.
cursor/plugins
Designs a step-by-step playbook for large or unfamiliar work, runs it as a loop of hypotheses and measurements, and logs decisions so a human can review them later.
Yeachan-Heo/oh-my-claudecode
Delivery pipeline from mission brief to verified change: writes a spec, splits it into tickets, runs them in parallel, verifies and reports a decision log after a repo audit gate.
0xNyk/lacp
Production quality gate for agent sessions. An agent skill from 0xNyk/lacp.

Context Modes fits situations like: tasks that involve Test-driven development; tasks that involve Verification before completion; tasks that involve Task breakdown.
Run `npx skills add 0xNyk/lacp --skill context-modes -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (plugin/skills/context-modes in 0xNyk/lacp) into .claude/skills/context-modes in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add 0xNyk/lacp --skill context-modes -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (plugin/skills/context-modes in 0xNyk/lacp) into .agents/skills/context-modes in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add 0xNyk/lacp --skill context-modes -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/context-modes, .gemini/skills/context-modes, .github/skills/context-modes and .opencode/skills/context-modes in your project.
SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Context Modes is instructions for the agent only.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Context Modes is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 313 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 1.3k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
