What it does

Code Reviewer is an agent skill from zhnnky329/MathModeling-skills. Detect whether approved modeling code is Python or MATLAB/Beita Tianyuan and route it to the matching reviewer using the compact named-check review contract.

Its SKILL.md is about 270 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.

It sits in Development, covering Code review and Contract review. It works with Python. The repository describes itself as: 面向数学建模竞赛的 Claude Code / Codex Skills ,支持分阶段建模流程与 Python、MATLAB/北太天元代码分支。 The licence is MIT.

When your agent uses it

  • Tasks that involve Contract review

Example prompts

  • “/code-reviewer”

Requirements

  • Python 3

Workflow steps

5 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.

  1. Inspect target code extensions and the implementation target in qx_code_plan.md.
  2. Route .py work to python-code-reviewer.
  3. Route .m work to matlab-code-reviewer.
  4. If both languages are intentionally present, review each separately.
  5. If the language or target is ambiguous, report the exact conflict.

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 0b46e9c. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

    No URLs in SKILL.md.

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

Context cost

Code Reviewer loads about 273 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 43 tokens; SKILL.md has 120 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~43
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~273

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

Review Contract

New reviews write JSON and evaluate these named checks:

  • syntax
  • input_contract
  • method_alignment
  • reproducibility
  • output_contract

Additional checks are allowed when risk-driven. A review passes when all required applicable checks pass; no arbitrary bullet count is used.

Rules

  • Do not perform a second independent review in this router.
  • Do not infer success because scripts exist.
  • Do not require a Markdown review when the canonical JSON review exists.
  • Read legacy Markdown reviews only for compatibility.
