knowledge-wikiMaintains a structured Markdown knowledge base in a knowledge/ folder by ingesting shared articles, synthesizing conversations and answering questions from it.
The skill keeps a persistent wiki in the knowledge/ directory and has three operations. Ingest reads an article or document you share, extracts key facts, picks or creates a category subfolder, writes a page and updates the index and log. Synthesize turns the insights from a conversation into a page and adds cross-references. Query checks the index for relevant pages and reads them, with memory search as a supplement.
Pages are Markdown files with lowercase kebab-case names, one topic per page and a Source line recording where the material came from. The index is a flat list of links with one-line summaries grouped by category, and the log is append-only with dated ingest and synthesize entries. Pages link to each other, and links are added only to pages that already exist, so the wiki forms a connected graph.
3 steps, taken from the step headings in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 7142631. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md (its code samples are markdown).

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Personal Knowledge Wiki loads about 924 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 64 tokens; SKILL.md has 367 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

Cross-references build a knowledge graph. When creating or updating a page, link to related pages and update those pages to link back. Only link to pages that already exist — if a concept deserves its own page, create it first, then add the link.

The skill keeps a persistent wiki in the knowledge/ directory and has three operations. Personal Knowledge Wiki fits situations like: saving an article or document you share as structured notes; preserving insights from a conversation as a wiki page; answering a question from the knowledge already collected.
Run `npx skills add zhayujie/CowAgent --skill knowledge-wiki -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/knowledge-wiki in zhayujie/CowAgent) into .claude/skills/knowledge-wiki in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add zhayujie/CowAgent --skill knowledge-wiki -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/knowledge-wiki in zhayujie/CowAgent) into .agents/skills/knowledge-wiki in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add zhayujie/CowAgent --skill knowledge-wiki -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/knowledge-wiki, .gemini/skills/knowledge-wiki, .github/skills/knowledge-wiki and .opencode/skills/knowledge-wiki in your project.
SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Personal Knowledge Wiki is instructions for the agent only.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Personal Knowledge Wiki is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 924 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 3.7k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
