What it does

Hello Goodbye is an agent skill from YS-Chu/hello-goodbye.

Its SKILL.md is about 470 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 12 other files, including scripts (for example `README.md`, `scripts/time-beat.py` and `templates/corridor-note.md`).

It works with Python. The licence is MIT.

Example prompts

  • “/hello-goodbye”

Requirements

  • Python 3

Workflow steps

7 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.

  2. feel/ ——
  3. profile.md ——
  5. index.md ——

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 4963156. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

Ships 1 file in scripts/ (Python), which the agent can run.

    Shell commands in SKILL.md call:

    • python

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

    No URLs in SKILL.md.

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

Context cost

Hello Goodbye loads about 468 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 43 tokens; SKILL.md has 102 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~43
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~468

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); the scripts in this folder are not scanned.

│ └── 2026-08-14.md
├── profile.md # 画像:对方是谁

  2. feel/ ——
  3. profile.md ——
  5. index.md ——

sh
python scripts/time-beat.py

它会输出 gap_seconds 和 gap_human(距离上一条消息多久)。

  1. 写 feel/YYYY-MM-DD.md —— 第一人称感受。
  4. 跑 python scripts/time-beat.py --close
  5. 更新 index.md 的小结
