Neru Add CLI Command is an agent skill from y3owk1n/neru. Add a Neru CLI command or flag: cobra command in internal/cli, IPC handler in internal/app/ipcctrl, service/mode work behind it, man pages, and docs/reference/cli.md. Use when adding or changing user-facing commands, subcommands, or flags. Not for config.toml options.
Its SKILL.md is about 840 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 2 other files (for example `agents/openai.yaml`).
It sits in Testing & QA. It works with macOS. The repository describes itself as: Hints, grids and vim keys for your whole desktop. Built for macOS, linux and windows, natively. The licence is MIT.

Neru Add CLI Command loads about 843 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 72 tokens; SKILL.md has 399 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

.claude/skills/neru-add-cli-command/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder). This skill also uses 1 other file; get the full folder from GitHub.Neru is a daemon plus a thin CLI: almost every command just serializes an IPC
request to the running daemon over its per-user Unix socket or Windows named
pipe. A new command therefore touches three layers plus docs —
skipping the IPC layer and calling app code directly from internal/cli is
wrong even when it compiles.
internal/cli/<name>.go, registered in an init()
like its siblings. Mode-shaped commands (hints/grid/scroll variants) go
through BuildModeCommand(ModeConfig{...}) in command_builders.go instead
of hand-rolling cobra — look at hints.go first. Long help text follows the
house style: prose, then flag explanations, then an Examples: block.internal/adapter/ipc); you only add
an action string. Keep the wire shape in one place and reuse existing
request helpers in internal/cli/cliutil.internal/app/ipcctrl. Handlers register into
Controller.Handlers via the sub-controller for their family
(lifecycle, modes, actions, info, overlay, scroll, …) — extend
the matching RegisterHandlers, don't bolt a case onto the controller.internal/app/services/* or a mode, never in
the handler. Handlers parse, delegate, and shape the ipc.Response.just genman (backed by ./cmd/genman).
Cobra metadata is the source — if the man page reads wrong, fix the
command's Short/Long, not the output.docs/reference/cli.md. It is the single home for CLI reference
facts.A flag on a mode command (hints --action left_click) is not registered by
hand. It is one entry in the descriptor table in internal/domain/modecmd,
carrying its own parse, its own render, and the modes that accept it — that
entry is what offers the flag on the command line, what the daemon and the
config validator read it with, and what writes its row in the reference.
After adding, removing or re-wording one, run just genflagref to rewrite the
generated region of docs/reference/cli.md. An architecture test
(internal/architecture/mode_flag_contract_test.go) fails while a descriptor
is unregistered or missing from that region, and while a mode command offers a
flag the table never declared.
internal/cli/cli_test.go / *_internal_test.go.internal/app/ipcctrl/*_test.go with port mocks from
internal/ports/mocks — assert the response shape and that the right
service call happened, not internals.derrors.CodeNotSupported, and a
contract test pins that (root AGENTS.md, "Hard rules").just build
./bin/neru <command> --help # against a running daemon: ./bin/neru launch
just genmanThen the standard pre-commit gate from AGENTS.md.

Add a Neru CLI command or flag: cobra command in internal/cli, IPC handler in internal/app/ipcctrl, service/mode work behind it, man pages, and docs/reference/cli.md. Neru Add CLI Command is an agent skill from y3owk1n/neru.md.
Neru Add CLI Command fits situations like: changing user-facing commands.
Run `npx skills add y3owk1n/neru --skill neru-add-cli-command -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (.agents/skills/neru-add-cli-command in y3owk1n/neru) into .claude/skills/neru-add-cli-command in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add y3owk1n/neru --skill neru-add-cli-command -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (.agents/skills/neru-add-cli-command in y3owk1n/neru) into .agents/skills/neru-add-cli-command in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add y3owk1n/neru --skill neru-add-cli-command -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/neru-add-cli-command, .gemini/skills/neru-add-cli-command, .github/skills/neru-add-cli-command and .opencode/skills/neru-add-cli-command in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Neru Add CLI Command needs the command-line tools its instructions call (just).
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Neru Add CLI Command is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 843 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 3.4k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
