What it does

React Native Expo is an agent skill from WrongStack/WrongStack. Build and upgrade React Native or Expo applications with navigation, native modules and verified platform integration. Use when implementing mobile screens, Expo Router flows or device capabilities; choose a supported SDK combination rather than forcing independent latest packages together.

Its SKILL.md is about 890 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.

It sits in Mobile, covering Cross-platform mobile apps. It works with Expo, React Native and React. The repository describes itself as: An AI coding agent that reads your code, edits files, runs commands, and reasons through bugs — across a terminal REPL, a full-screen TUI, and a browser UI, while you keep your… The licence is MIT.

Workflow steps

6 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.

  1. Identify Expo-managed/prebuild/bare workflow, installed SDK and generated native directories.
  2. For latest independent React/RN targets, use a verified bare combination when Expo support lags. For Expo, report its supported matrix…
  3. Install native dependencies through the project's Expo-compatible flow when appropriate; inspect config plugins and generated native…
  4. Keep navigation, deep links, auth redirects and back behavior consistent across cold/warm launches.
  5. Request device permissions at the actual feature boundary and handle denial/revocation without a crash.
  6. Keep credentials in supported secure storage and server authorization at the server; an app bundle is publicly inspectable.

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit a744bdc. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

Links to these hosts (documentation or services it may open):

    • docs.expo.dev
    • reactnative.dev

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

Context cost

React Native Expo loads about 890 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 77 tokens; SKILL.md has 327 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~77
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~890

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

React Native Expo

Selection card

  • Task: Build React Native and Expo app screens. / TR: React Native ve Expo uygulama ekranı kur.
  • Start: Identify the platform, screen, device and native integration boundary.
  • Finish: apply the acceptance checks below; report observed results and unresolved constraints.

Overview

Build and upgrade React Native or Expo applications with navigation, native modules and verified platform integration.

Checked 2026-10-09: React Native 0.87.1, Expo 57.0.27 and Expo Router 57.0.25. Expo SDK 57 documents RN 0.86 and React 19.2.3; independent React 19.3.0/RN 0.87.1 are newer. Refresh the matrix before setup.

Rules

  1. Identify Expo-managed/prebuild/bare workflow, installed SDK and generated native directories.
  2. For latest independent React/RN targets, use a verified bare combination when Expo support lags. For Expo, report its supported matrix explicitly; do not silently downgrade or suppress dependency checks.
  3. Install native dependencies through the project's Expo-compatible flow when appropriate; inspect config plugins and generated native changes.

Workflow

  1. Inspect app config, lockfile, navigation and native integration before choosing versions.
  2. Verify the current SDK/runtime/peer matrix and implement the narrow feature or upgrade group.
  3. Exercise loading/error states, keyboard, safe area and lifecycle transitions.
  4. Test device integration in an actual development/release build; Expo Go may not contain the needed native module.
  5. Run configured lint/type/tests, platform build and the primary device journey.

Before returning

SDK compatibility/blockers visible; native generation changes reviewed; platform/device checks recorded; simulator or JS-only evidence not presented as release proof.

Sources

Versioned facts checked 2026-10-09; refresh authoritative sources before new installs/upgrades. Expo SDK matrix, Expo upgrade, React Native.

  • mobile-design — native navigation, insets and touch adaptation.
  • mobile-performance — release-device profiling.
