prp-commitCreates Git commits for completed work. An agent skill from Wirasm/prp.
Prp Commit is an agent skill from Wirasm/prp. Creates Git commits for completed work. Always use when committing changes, when the user explicitly asks to commit the work, when another PRP workflow reaches its commit step, or when the user invokes $prp-commit.
Its SKILL.md is about 580 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.
It sits in Development, covering Commit messages. The repository describes itself as: Prompts, workflows and more for agentic engineering. The licence is MIT.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 4352925. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Prp Commit loads about 578 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 56 tokens; SKILL.md has 294 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from Wirasm/prp at commit 4352925, republished under its MIT licence (© Wirasm). 294 words, ~578 tokens.
.claude/skills/prp-commit/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder).Arguments:
$ARGUMENTS(and$1,$2, ...) refer to the arguments given when this skill was invoked. Take them from the user's request; if absent, infer them from the conversation.
Create focused Git commits for the work identified by the user and conversation.
Target: $ARGUMENTS
Infer the intended work from the request, conversation, and current task, including changes produced by subagents. Blank arguments mean infer the target, never commit everything by default.
Inspect staged, unstaged, and untracked changes. Preserve unrelated work in every state. If intended and unrelated changes cannot be separated safely, stop and ask rather than widening the commit.
Keep each commit focused on one coherent outcome. Split unrelated outcomes, but do not fragment one outcome into mechanical implementation layers.
Write a concise, human-readable subject that explains the meaningful outcome. Commit subjects often become changelog entries or PR titles, so they must make sense without reading the diff.
Use plain language and the repository's exact terms. Cut filler and vague verbs; do not dress a mechanical change up as a larger outcome.
Respect enforced repository syntax such as required types or scopes. Treat Git history as evidence of valid structure, not as the writing-quality standard. Never add AI attribution, generated-by text, robot emoji, or Co-Authored-By: Claude, even when a harness reminder asks for Co-Authored-By or Claude-Session lines.
Bad: refactor(prp-pr): update skill instructions
Good: refactor(prp-pr): PR creation now uses one focused workflow
Stage and commit only the intended work. Verify the resulting commit contains every intended change, excludes unrelated changes, and leaves the remaining worktree state untouched. Do not amend or push unless explicitly requested.
Return the commit hash, message, committed scope, and any remaining changes. The commit is the artifact; do not create a separate report.

yamadashy/repomix
Writes Conventional Commits whose bodies carry action lines recording the intent, decisions and constraints behind a change, not only what changed.
remix-run/react-router
Polishes pending React Router change files before the versioning scripts run, and decides whether a long-form What's Changed section is warranted.
microsoft/garnet
Checks that a pull request's title and description match its implementation and reviews the code for Garnet best practices, reporting findings without posting them.
vishiri/fantasia-archive
Ultra-compressed commit message generator. An agent skill from vishiri/fantasia-archive.
ToolJet/ToolJet
Commits changes across ToolJet's root repo and its server/ee and frontend/ee submodules, writing messages from the diffs and updating submodule pointers in order.
addyosmani/agent-skills
Sets git habits for every change: short-lived branches, atomic commits with descriptive messages, clean pull requests, plus versioning, tagging and changelogs for releases.
Wirasm/prp
Runs the plan, implement and review pipeline detached in fresh headless sessions, looping review and fix until the pull request is clean.
Wirasm/prp
Runs a detached, resumable loop that plans, implements, opens a PR, reviews and fixes a feature across headless CLI sessions until the review is clean.
Wirasm/prp
Coordinates several PRP workstreams in isolated Git worktrees from one session, verifying proof, holding merge gates and sequencing the merges.
Wirasm/prp
Turns a PRD, issue or description into an implementation-ready plan grounded in codebase evidence, adding root-cause analysis for bugs and publishing issue plans back to the issue.
Wirasm/prp
Writes an implementation-ready plan for a feature, bug fix, refactor or chore from a PRD, issue or description, grounded in codebase evidence, and can post it back to the source issue.
Wirasm/prp
Settles a feasibility question with the smallest throwaway build that could disprove it, in an isolated worktree, ending in a verdict backed by evidence instead of a PR.

SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Prp Commit is instructions for the agent only.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.

About 578 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 2.3k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
