ci-timingMeasure how long GitHub Actions jobs and steps took across past runs, and find the pull request that made CI slower.
CI Timing is an agent skill from wado-lang/wado. Measure how long GitHub Actions jobs and steps took across past runs, and find the pull request that made CI slower. Use for any question about CI duration, a slow job, or when CI got slow.
Its SKILL.md is about 520 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 1 other file.
It sits in Development, covering Pull requests and CI/CD. It works with GitHub Actions and WebAssembly. The repository describes itself as: The Wado Programming Language. The licence is MIT.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 037dba4. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Ships script files (JavaScript), which the agent can run.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
miseFrom the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
CI Timing loads about 518 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 50 tokens; SKILL.md has 270 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from wado-lang/wado at commit 037dba4, republished under its MIT licence (© wado-lang). 270 words, ~518 tokens.
.claude/skills/ci-timing/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder). This skill also uses 1 other file; get the full folder from GitHub.ci-times.mjs reads run, job and step timings from the GitHub API with gh.
Run it with mise's Node, and redirect its output to a file in scratchpad/:
a sweep over a month makes hundreds of API calls.
Sweep the runs on main, one row per run, oldest first:
mise exec -- node .claude/skills/ci-timing/ci-times.mjs \
--since 2026-09-01 --job 'E2E\+stdlib' --step stdlib \
> scratchpad/ci-times.tsvEach matched job prints as name=STEP/JOB in seconds. - means the step did
not run or there was no --step. The row ends with the run's title, which
names the merged pull request. Look for the row where a job's total steps up
and stays up.
Only runs on main from push events give a clean timeline: each one is a
single merge. The defaults are --workflow ci.yml --branch main --event push.
The job total can grow while the step you guessed stays flat. A step that a
pull request added is invisible to --step. Print every step of the runs on
either side of the jump and compare them:
mise exec -- node .claude/skills/ci-timing/ci-times.mjs --sha <before> --job 'stdlib O3'
mise exec -- node .claude/skills/ci-timing/ci-times.mjs --sha <after> --job 'stdlib O3'--run <run id> does the same for a run that is not on main, such as a pull
request's run.

Measure how long GitHub Actions jobs and steps took across past runs, and find the pull request that made CI slower. CI Timing is an agent skill from wado-lang/wado. Measure how long GitHub Actions jobs and steps took across past runs, and find the pull request that made CI slower.
CI Timing fits situations like: any question about CI duration; tasks that involve Pull requests; tasks that involve CI/CD.
Run `npx skills add wado-lang/wado --skill ci-timing -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (.claude/skills/ci-timing in wado-lang/wado) into .claude/skills/ci-timing in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add wado-lang/wado --skill ci-timing -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (.claude/skills/ci-timing in wado-lang/wado) into .agents/skills/ci-timing in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add wado-lang/wado --skill ci-timing -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/ci-timing, .gemini/skills/ci-timing, .github/skills/ci-timing and .opencode/skills/ci-timing in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, CI Timing needs JavaScript for the scripts in its folder and the command-line tools its instructions call (mise). Our summary lists: Node.js.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
CI Timing is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 518 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 2.1k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
Skills that share tags, products or a category with CI Timing: Babysit PR To Pass CI (sgl-project/sglang, 37k stars), Gh (bubbuild/bub, 1.7k stars), Renovate Actions PR Review (backnotprop/plannotator, 9.2k stars) and Submit Aetherkiri Cross Repo PRs (AetherKiri/Aether, 149 stars). The comparison table on this page puts their stars, adoption, token cost, safety result and licence side by side.
