What it does

Changelog Maintenance is an agent skill from VladSez/easy-invoice-pdf. Maintain a clear and informative changelog for software releases. Use when documenting version changes, tracking features, or communicating updates to users. Handles semantic versioning, changelog formats, and release notes.

Its SKILL.md is about 1.8k tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 1 other file.

It sits in Development, covering Changelog and release notes and Forms and invoices. It works with React. The repository describes itself as: Free & Open-Source Invoice Generator - No Sign-Up, No Ads, Instant PDF Export, 100% In-Browser, and Fully Customizable Templates. ⭐ Star the repo if you like it. The licence is AGPL-3.0.

When your agent uses it

  • Documenting version changes
  • Tracking features
  • Communicating updates to users

Example prompts

  • “/changelog-maintenance”

Workflow steps

4 steps, taken from the step headings in SKILL.md.

  1. Keep a Changelog format
  2. Semantic Versioning
  3. Release Notes (user-friendly)
  4. Breaking Changes migration guide

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit ba85869. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md (its code samples are markdown).

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

Hosts in commands or code, which the agent is likely to contact:

    • github.com
    • keepachangelog.com
    • semver.org

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

Context cost

Changelog Maintenance loads about 1.8k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 62 tokens; SKILL.md has 173 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~62
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~1.8k

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
