What it does

Resume Project is an agent skill from VKirill/claude-lane-stack. Cold-start project context for orchestrator or human. Use when user says resume, продолж, where were we, cold start, /lane-stack:resume-project, or starting a new orchestrator session on an existing repo. Inside Lane Pilot read PROGRESS/ROADMAP and the Lane Pilot run tools instead of the CLI. Slash /lane-stack:resume-project runs the CLI. Info card only when args are exactly info.

Its SKILL.md is about 660 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 2 other files, including reference files (for example `references/info.md`).

It sits in Agent Workflows. The repository describes itself as: Multi-agent AI coding factory for one person — Claude Code PM + Codex/Qwen/Grok/Kimi/AGY writers, durable conveyor, auto-merge to main. The licence is MIT.

When your agent uses it

  • User says resume
  • /lane-stack:resume-project
  • Starting a new orchestrator session on an existing repo

Example prompts

  • “/resume-project”

Workflow steps

4 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.

  1. Synthesize in RU (short) from HANDOFF, not from raw BOARD dump
  2. Day policy reminder (terminal): write → L1 verify → accept → merge. No daytime LLM review; night-shift owns review/fix.
  3. If stalled tasks: re-dispatch or mark blocked — do not ignore.
  4. Do not dump full files into chat — point paths. Full archaeology only if needed

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 45fa19e. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md (its code samples are bash).

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

    No URLs in SKILL.md.

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

Context cost

Resume Project loads about 658 tokens when it runs, and up to ~895 if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 100 tokens; SKILL.md has 270 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~100
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~658
With references · SKILL.md plus every file in references/, read only if the agent opens them
~895

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

Resume project

Default: run. Info card only if $ARGUMENTS is exactly info.

Inside a Lane Pilot chat (LANE_PILOT_AGENT_TYPE set / tools lane_pilot_* present) cold start is not the CLI: read .agents/PROGRESS.md, .agents/plans/ROADMAP.md and the open counts in .agents/todos/INDEX.md, then take the run state from the Lane Pilot tools (lane_pilot_workspace_status, lane_pilot_gate_report) and prior decisions from hub memory (lane-memory search, lane_pilot_memory_context). Answer in Russian: Now / Blocked / Next. Day policy there: writer → plan and code critique → acceptance → merge, all by Lane Pilot. HANDOFF/BOARD, next_act and resume-project below are the terminal harness.

Procedure (terminal)

  1. Run (prefer compact day brief):
bash
export PATH="$HOME/.agents/bin:$PATH"
resume-project "$(pwd)" --compact

This regenerates .agents/HANDOFF.json + HANDOFF.md and prints them first.

  1. Synthesize in RU (short) from HANDOFF, not from raw BOARD dump:

    • Now
    • Blocked + next_act (e.g. fix_contract — do not re-dispatch writer)
    • Next typed acts only
    • Profile: main_write + workspace mode
  2. Day policy reminder (terminal): write → L1 verify → accept → merge. No daytime LLM review; night-shift owns review/fix.

  3. If stalled tasks: re-dispatch or mark blocked — do not ignore. For schema v2, never mutate task YAML after first start.

  4. Do not dump full files into chat — point paths. Full archaeology only if needed: resume-project . --full

Optional

  • lane-memory search for prior decisions (hub memory)
  • night-audit if user asks overnight review
  • handoff-write . alone to refresh without full resume

Boundaries

  • Merging is yours or the controller's, so do not ask the human to merge branches.
  • The PM plans and verifies; coding goes to a writer lane.
  • When next_act is fix_contract (missing check.py, lane mismatch) repair the contract first: a blind retry fails the same way.

Info

If $ARGUMENTS is exactly info, print references/info.md verbatim (Russian), then stop. Do not run resume-project.
