What it does

Project Onboard is an agent skill from VKirill/claude-lane-stack. Primary project onboarding for Claude Lane Stack. Diátaxis-classified LLM pack (MODULEMAP, APISURFACE, TESTINDEX, TAXONOMY, RUNBOOK, Google DESIGN.md). Schemas + validation in references/. Weekly docs-maintainer. Use when: /project-onboard, онбординг, init project, bootstrap CLAUDE.md, deep onboard, wiki→llm docs in the terminal Lane Stack; $ARGUMENTS exactly info prints the card. Not inside Lane Pilot chats (reference only).

Its SKILL.md is about 1.1k tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 5 other files, including reference files (for example `references/PACK-SCHEMAS.md`, `references/VALIDATION.md` and `references/design-md-standard.md`).

It sits in Agent Workflows, covering Design tokens, Project scaffolding and Runbooks and postmortems. The repository describes itself as: Multi-agent AI coding factory for one person — Claude Code PM + Codex/Qwen/Grok/Kimi/AGY writers, durable conveyor, auto-merge to main. The licence is MIT.

When your agent uses it

  • : /project-onboard
  • Bootstrap CLAUDE.md
  • Wiki→llm docs in the terminal Lane Stack
  • $ARGUMENTS exactly info prints the card

Example prompts

  • “/project-onboard”

Workflow steps

4 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.

  1. Passport thin: spawn project-onboarder (or project-onboard). Wait DONE.
  2. If stages.docs.enabled: then spawn docs-maintainer. Never both at once.
  3. Writer reads skill references/.
  4. After: RU summary — surfaces, modules, tests, DESIGN?, RUNBOOK?, validation.

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 45fa19e. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

Links to these hosts (documentation or services it may open):

    • diataxis.fr
    • agents.md
    • llmstxt.org

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

Context cost

Project Onboard loads about 1.1k tokens when it runs, and up to ~12k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 113 tokens; SKILL.md has 371 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~113
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~1.1k
With references · SKILL.md plus every file in references/, read only if the agent opens them
~12k

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

Project onboard (Claude Lane Stack)

Inside a Lane Pilot chat (LANE_PILOT_AGENT_TYPE set / tools lane_pilot_* present) this skill is reference only. Do not generate docs/llm, and do not write docs/, CLAUDE.md, AGENTS.md or llms.txt unless the owner asked for that in this chat (Lane Pilot's nightly docs pass owns docs/ and builds docs/index.md; the onboarding preview accepts only docs/**.md and apps/**.md). Orient the owner from PROJECT.md → docs/index.md and answer in Russian. The pipeline below is the terminal Lane Stack harness.

Info

If $ARGUMENTS is exactly info, print references/info.md verbatim (Russian), then stop. Do not start onboard.
