protect-with-passwordGenerate ONE strong password and apply it to each referenced file (PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or any type).
Protect With Password is an agent skill from transilienceai/communitytools. Generate ONE strong password and apply it to each referenced file (PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or any type). Use when asked to password-protect / encrypt / lock one or more deliverable files with a single password before sharing.
Its SKILL.md is about 580 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.
It sits in Documents & Office, covering PowerPoint presentations, Excel spreadsheets and PDF. It works with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint. The repository describes itself as: Open-source Claude Code skills, agents, and slash commands for AI-powered penetration testing, bug bounty hunting, and security research. The licence is MIT.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 95fdc12. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

Shell commands in SKILL.md call:

No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Protect With Password loads about 583 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 63 tokens; SKILL.md has 248 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

.claude/skills/protect-with-password/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder).Mint a single strong password and password-protect every referenced file with it, "accordingly" per file type. Deterministic, non-destructive (originals are never touched), AES-256 or nothing.
python3 tools/protect_with_password.py FILE [FILE ...] \
[--password PW] [--length 24] [--out-dir DIR] \
[--password-file PATH | --no-password-file]--password overrides to reuse one).--out-dir.--no-password-file) writes the password to a chmod-600 PROTECT-PASSWORD.txt.| File | Protection | Result |
|---|---|---|
.pdf | Native AES-256 (qpdf → pypdf fallback) | <name>-protected.pdf — recipient is prompted for the password on open |
.docx/.xlsx/.pptx, .doc/.xls/.ppt, images, anything else | AES-256 7-Zip archive (-mhe=on, filenames encrypted) | <name>.7z — recipient extracts with the password (7-Zip / Keka / WinRAR) |
Native in-file Office (MS-OFFCRYPTO "agile") encryption needs LibreOffice or a dedicated encryptor that is not bundled here, so Office files are wrapped in a strong AES-256 archive instead. If no AES-256 tool is available for a file, it is reported as a failure — never downgraded to weak ZipCrypto/RC4 (no false assurance).
Relay the password to the user and remind them to share it OUT-OF-BAND — never in the same channel/email as the protected files — and to delete PROTECT-PASSWORD.txt once handed over. Exit code is 0 only if every file was protected; 1 if any failed (check results[].reason).
Related: tools/protect_deliverable.py does the engagement-wide variant (one protected PDF + an AES-256 deliverable zip); this skill protects an arbitrary set of individual files.

Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Protect With Password needs the command-line tools its instructions call (python3). Our summary lists: Python 3.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.

About 583 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 2.3k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
