Example prompts

  • “/web-app-manifest”

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit e8d14d0. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

Links to these hosts (documentation or services it may open):

    • frontendchecklist.io

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

Context cost

Web App Manifest loads about 491 tokens when it runs, and up to ~1.6k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 56 tokens; SKILL.md has 216 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~56
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~491
With references · SKILL.md plus every file in references/, read only if the agent opens them
~1.6k

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

A Web App Manifest is the minimum requirement for a site to be installable as a Progressive Web App. Installed PWAs launch in their own window, appear in app switchers, and can receive push notifications. Even for non-PWA sites, the manifest improves the experience when users bookmark to their home screen and provides metadata for browser share dialogs.

Quick Reference

  • Link manifest.json with <link rel="manifest" href="/manifest.json">
  • Include name, short_name, icons (192px and 512px minimum), and start_url
  • Set display: standalone to hide browser chrome when launched from home screen
  • Set theme_color to control the browser address bar and OS taskbar color

Check

Check if this HTML file has a Web App Manifest linked. If so, verify the manifest has all required fields for installability.

Fix

Create a minimal Web App Manifest with the required fields and link it from the HTML head.

Explain

Explain the Web App Manifest format, which fields are required for installability, and how icons work across different platforms.

Code Review

Review templates, server-rendered HTML, and shared components that output markup related to Link a Web App Manifest for installability. Flag exact elements, attributes, and routes where the rendered HTML violates the rule.
