mime-typeA skill your agent uses when auditing server configuration or diagnosing broken resources.
Mime Type is an agent skill from thedaviddias/Front-End-Checklist. Use when auditing server configuration or diagnosing broken resources. Applies to any web server serving HTML, CSS, JS, images, fonts, or other static assets.
Its SKILL.md is about 550 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 2 other files, including reference files (for example `references/rule.md`).
It sits in Frontend & Design. It works with JavaScript. The repository describes itself as: 🗂 The essential checklist for modern web development, for humans and AI agents. The licence is MIT.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit e8d14d0. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
Links to these hosts (documentation or services it may open):
frontendchecklist.ioFrom URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Mime Type loads about 551 tokens when it runs, and up to ~1.6k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 42 tokens; SKILL.md has 245 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

.claude/skills/mime-type/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder). This skill also uses 1 other file; get the full folder from GitHub.Incorrect MIME types cause browsers to block stylesheets and scripts (MIME sniffing is disabled by X-Content-Type-Options: nosniff), breaking page rendering and signalling poor site quality to crawlers.
For key pages and their linked resources, inspect the HTTP Content-Type response header. Verify HTML responses use text/html; charset=utf-8, CSS uses text/css, JS uses text/javascript, and images use image/jpeg, image/png, etc.
Update your server configuration to serve each file type with its correct MIME type. Set X-Content-Type-Options: nosniff to prevent browsers from guessing content types. In Next.js and similar frameworks, configure headers in next.config.js.
The Content-Type header tells browsers and crawlers what kind of content is being sent. When it mismatches the actual file type, browsers either block the resource or render it incorrectly—CSS served as text/plain won't be applied, and JavaScript served as text/html may be blocked by strict MIME checking.
For HTML, CSS, and JS assets, check the Content-Type response header. Verify HTML responses include 'charset=utf-8'. Check that X-Content-Type-Options: nosniff is set. Flag any resource returning Content-Type: text/html that is not an HTML page. Check for missing charset declarations on text responses.

About 551 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 2.2k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full. Its references folder adds about 1k tokens, read only when the agent opens those files.
