qv-qip-reviewReviews QIP drafts for approval readiness, architectural fit, decision clarity, material trade-offs, and appropriate stakeholder detail.
Qv Qip Review is an agent skill from tetherto/qvac. Reviews QIP drafts for approval readiness, architectural fit, decision clarity, material trade-offs, and appropriate stakeholder detail. Use when reviewing a QIP or invoking /qv-qip-review.
Its SKILL.md is about 1.1k tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.
It sits in AI & LLM Engineering. The repository describes itself as: Open-source local AI SDK - run AI on-device with no cloud, no API keys. Supports GGUF, RAG, image, music, and video generation, speech-to-text, P2P inference, and more… The licence is Apache-2.0.
3 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 673ea94. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md (its code samples are markdown).
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Qv Qip Review loads about 1.1k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 51 tokens; SKILL.md has 536 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from tetherto/qvac at commit 673ea94, republished under its Apache-2.0 licence (© tetherto). 536 words, ~1,130 tokens.
.claude/skills/qv-qip-review/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder).Review a QIP without substituting for its human approvers. Use qv-qip-create for first drafts and qv-qip-triage to decide whether a QIP is needed.
docs/architecture/PRINCIPLES.md.docs/architecture/ARCHITECTURE.md and the relevant current repository sources.Do not infer approval, commitments, current behavior, or implementation feasibility without evidence. Treat principle conflicts as review findings, not automatic rejection, unless the proposal hides or misrepresents the conflict.
An unclear or absent recommended direction or approval ask is a blocker. For another gap, first state how its answer could materially change the recommendation or why approval without it would be irresponsible. Explicitly deferred implementation detail is acceptable when the architectural direction, boundaries, responsibilities, and accepted trade-offs remain clear; require production-level detail only when the decision or its feasibility and risk claims depend on it. Do not use length or a preference for greater specificity as a proxy for readiness.
If consultation context is provided, check coverage of the owning team lead, Lead / Architect, and any relevant cross-cutting expertise. The consultation note belongs outside the Canvas-ready QIP, so its absence from the QIP is not a finding. Advice is direction plus reasoning, not a vote.

Qv Qip Review fits situations like: reviewing a QIP; invoking /qv-qip-review.
Run `npx skills add tetherto/qvac --skill qv-qip-review -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (.agents/skills/qv-qip-review in tetherto/qvac) into .claude/skills/qv-qip-review in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add tetherto/qvac --skill qv-qip-review -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (.agents/skills/qv-qip-review in tetherto/qvac) into .agents/skills/qv-qip-review in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add tetherto/qvac --skill qv-qip-review -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/qv-qip-review, .gemini/skills/qv-qip-review, .github/skills/qv-qip-review and .opencode/skills/qv-qip-review in your project.
SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Qv Qip Review is instructions for the agent only.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Qv Qip Review is published under the Apache-2.0 licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 1.1k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 4.5k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
