Git Commit is an agent skill from Terry-Mao/AICodingFlow. Create focused, reviewable commits from the current diff without including unrelated files.
Its SKILL.md is about 330 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 2 other files, including reference files (for example `references/commit-examples.md`).
It sits in Development, covering Commit messages. The repository describes itself as: Setup a AI Coding Flow. The licence is MIT.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 7703e16. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
gitFrom the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md. Its commands use git, which can reach the network depending on how they are called.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Git Commit loads about 328 tokens when it runs, and up to ~930 if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 26 tokens; SKILL.md has 170 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from Terry-Mao/AICodingFlow at commit 7703e16, republished under its MIT licence (© Terry-Mao). 170 words, ~328 tokens.

Review status, unstaged/staged diffs, and their stats. Check repository commit conventions only when they are not already clear from the task or nearby files. Split only genuinely separate concerns (for example behavior versus refactor, dependency churn, generated output, formatting-only changes, or unrelated docs/tests). Keep directly related tests with the change.
Stage only intended paths, using git add -p when a file contains mixed
concerns. Do not bulk-stage unrelated work.
Unless repository conventions say otherwise, use:
type(scope): summaryUse feat, fix, refactor, perf, docs, test, build, ci, or
chore. Add Fixes #123 only for explicit closing intent or a clearly
completed narrow issue; use Refs #123 for partial or ambiguous work. Never
invent issue IDs.
Run normal git commit -m so hooks execute. If a hook fails, stop and report;
do not use --no-verify, push, rewrite history, or force operations unless
explicitly requested. Report the final hash and whether hooks ran.

Git Commit fits situations like: tasks that involve Commit messages.
Run `npx skills add Terry-Mao/AICodingFlow --skill git-commit -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (.agents/skills/git-commit in Terry-Mao/AICodingFlow) into .claude/skills/git-commit in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add Terry-Mao/AICodingFlow --skill git-commit -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (.agents/skills/git-commit in Terry-Mao/AICodingFlow) into .agents/skills/git-commit in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add Terry-Mao/AICodingFlow --skill git-commit -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/git-commit, .gemini/skills/git-commit, .github/skills/git-commit and .opencode/skills/git-commit in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Git Commit needs the command-line tools its instructions call (git).
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Its commands use git, which can reach the network depending on how they are called. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Git Commit is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 328 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 1.3k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full. Its references folder adds about 602 tokens, read only when the agent opens those files.
