launch-multi-ai-chatAudits, launches, checks and stops the Multi-AI Chat Tauri desktop app from a local source checkout, only when you explicitly ask.
This skill runs the source-development lane of the Multi-AI Chat desktop app, defined by agent-release.json, from a checked-out repository. It is not an installer, release build, container or remote GUI, and launching executes code from the repository plus its locked JavaScript and Rust build dependencies. It applies only when you explicitly ask to run the repo on your local graphical computer.
The sequence is: confirm the shell is on that computer, run the before audit and the doctor check, stop and report if prerequisites are missing, then launch with a 600000 ms timeout, run the after audit even if launch fails, and claim readiness only when the state is ready, not merely accepted or building. Status, with the last 80 log lines, and stop commands are available, and an unverified process is never stopped.
Strict limits apply. It never installs or removes toolchains, global packages, PATH entries, shell profiles or security settings, never runs pnpm tauri build or creates installers, never uploads logs, and never reads provider credentials, cookies, storage or profiles. Host changes need separate explicit approval outside the skill.
7 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 74d16ba. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
nodepnpmFrom the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md. Its commands use pnpm, which can reach the network depending on how they are called.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Multi-AI Chat Launcher loads about 536 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 53 tokens; SKILL.md has 260 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from teddashh/multi-ai-chat-desktop at commit 74d16ba, republished under its MIT licence (© teddashh). 260 words, ~536 tokens.
.claude/skills/launch-multi-ai-chat/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder). This skill also uses 1 other file; get the full folder from GitHub.Operate the source-development lane defined by agent-release.json. It is not an installer, release build, container, or remote GUI.
Source launch executes code from the checked-out repository, locked JavaScript dependencies, and Rust build dependencies. Keep all lifecycle records local and never read provider credentials, cookies, storage, or profiles.
For an explicit launch request:
node scripts/agent/audit.mjs --phase before --write --json.node scripts/agent/doctor.mjs --json.node scripts/agent/launch.mjs --wait --timeout-ms 600000 --json.node scripts/agent/audit.mjs --phase after --write --json, including after a launch failure or timeout.node scripts/agent/status.mjs --json --lines 80 reports state: "ready". “accepted” or “building” does not mean the window is ready. For status, run node scripts/agent/status.mjs --json --lines 80. For an explicit stop request, run node scripts/agent/stop.mjs --json. Never stop an unverified process. Use --clear-invalid-state only after the user explicitly asks to recover inspected corrupt state; it removes no process.
Never run pnpm tauri build, generate installers, download release assets for this lane, upload logs or audits, weaken OS security, delete provider profiles, or automatically roll back/uninstall host software. Shared pnpm/Cargo caches and normal app data are user-managed.

Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Multi-AI Chat Launcher needs the command-line tools its instructions call (node and pnpm). Our summary lists: A local graphical computer, not a remote or headless shell; A checkout of the multi-ai-chat-desktop repository with Node, pnpm and Rust toolchains installed.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Multi-AI Chat Launcher is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 536 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 2.1k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
