At a glance

Reviews UI code against a written set of web interface rules covering accessibility, forms, animation and typography, and reports terse file:line findings.

  • Works in 4 steps: Read the guidelines from… → Read the specified files (or prompt user… → Check against all rules in the guidelines → …
  • Reviewing a component or page for accessibility problems
  • SKILL.md covers How It Works, Guidelines Reference, Usage and Output Format
  • Instructions only: no scripts, shell commands, URLs or credentials in SKILL.md

What it does

The agent reads the rule set in `references/guideline.md`, reads the files you name, checks them against every rule and prints its findings. If you give no files or pattern, it asks which ones to review.

The guidelines cover accessibility, focus states and keyboard use, forms, animation and reduced motion, typography, content overflow and empty states, images, performance, navigation and URL state, touch handling, dark mode, locale and i18n, hydration safety and common anti-patterns. Findings are grouped by file in clickable `file:line` form, stating the issue and its location and skipping explanations unless the fix is not obvious. Performance audits, SEO and full site audits are left to other skills.

When your agent uses it

  • Reviewing a component or page for accessibility problems
  • Checking forms for label, autocomplete and validation issues
  • Auditing UI code for focus handling and keyboard support
  • Getting a short list of design and interaction issues by file and line

Example prompts

  • “Review src/components/Checkout.tsx against the web interface guidelines.”
  • “Check the forms under app/ for accessibility and validation problems.”
  • “Audit our dark mode and animation code for reduced-motion issues.”

Workflow steps

4 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.

  1. Read the guidelines from #[[file:references/guideline.md]]
  2. Read the specified files (or prompt user for files/pattern)
  3. Check against all rules in the guidelines
  4. Output findings in the terse file:line format

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 6df68d5. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

    No URLs in SKILL.md.

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

Context cost

Web Interface Guidelines Review loads about 509 tokens when it runs, and up to ~2.2k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 96 tokens; SKILL.md has 198 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~96
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~509
With references · SKILL.md plus every file in references/, read only if the agent opens them
~2.2k

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
