tuistorytmux for AI agents. An agent skill from remorses/tuistory.
Tuistory is an agent skill from remorses/tuistory. tmux for AI agents. Run dev servers and TUIs in named background sessions that agents can read, wait on, snapshot, and type into. Replaces tmux with reactive waiting instead of blind sleep. Projects wrap their dev script with tuistory ("dev": "tuistory -- next dev") so agents get a background session and humans get auto-attached. Use tuistory when you need to: - Run background dev servers or long-lived processes - Control interactive CLIs and TUIs (type, press keys, click, wait, snapshot) - Write Playwright-style…
Its SKILL.md is about 2.4k tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.
It sits in Testing & QA, covering Browser testing. It works with tmux, Playwright and pnpm. The repository describes itself as: TMUX for agents. let agents control & test terminal user interfaces. Like Playwright & agent-browser but for TUIs.
3 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 363cbd2. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
pnpmbuncurlFrom the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md. Its commands use pnpm and curl, which can reach the network depending on how they are called.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Tuistory loads about 2.4k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 168 tokens; SKILL.md has 826 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Without a licence we can't republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 826 words (~2,419 tokens).
“Run dev servers and terminal commands that AI agents can read, wait on, and type into. Wrap any command in a named background session. Humans get auto-attached; agents get a session they can inspect with read, snapshot, wait, and type.”

Tuistory fits situations like: tasks that involve Browser testing.
Run `npx skills add remorses/tuistory --skill tuistory -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/tuistory in remorses/tuistory) into .claude/skills/tuistory in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add remorses/tuistory --skill tuistory -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/tuistory in remorses/tuistory) into .agents/skills/tuistory in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add remorses/tuistory --skill tuistory -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/tuistory, .gemini/skills/tuistory, .github/skills/tuistory and .opencode/skills/tuistory in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Tuistory needs the command-line tools its instructions call (pnpm, bun and curl).
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Its commands use curl, which can reach the network depending on how they are called. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
No licence was found for Tuistory or its repository. Without one, default copyright applies: ask the author before reusing or redistributing it.
About 2.4k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 9.7k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
Skills that share tags, products or a category with Tuistory: Ckeditor5 Testing (TriliumNext/Trilium, 38k stars), Agent Integration Replay (Comfy-Org/ComfyUI_frontend, 2.1k stars), UI Preview (tingly-dev/tingly-box, 351 stars) and E2E Verification (Chorus-AIDLC/Chorus, 1.2k stars).
