birdview-reviewReview and improve codebase architecture with source-backed current/proposed diagrams, tradeoffs and verification.
Birdview Review is an agent skill from Qiuner/birdview. Review and improve codebase architecture with source-backed current/proposed diagrams, tradeoffs and verification. Use for birdview-review or requests to optimize architecture, review module boundaries or find architectural refactoring opportunities, including 优化架构、架构评审、梳理模块边界. Ordinary bug fixes, local refactors and discussion of the skill itself do not request a review.
Its SKILL.md is about 580 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 3 other files (for example `SKILL.zh.md` and `agents/openai.yaml`).
It sits in Development, covering Software architecture, Refactoring and Diagrams. The repository describes itself as: Stop letting AI code blind. Map the architecture before every change with Birdview. The licence is MIT.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit cdea534. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Birdview Review loads about 580 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 98 tokens; SKILL.md has 255 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from Qiuner/birdview at commit cdea534, republished under its MIT licence (© Qiuner). 255 words, ~580 tokens.
.claude/skills/birdview-review/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder). This skill also uses 2 other files; get the full folder from GitHub.Accept an explicit skill invocation or a request to assess or improve the target project's architecture; the user need not name Birdview. Examples include “optimize this project's architecture”, “review the module boundaries” and “看看这个项目的架构怎么优化”. Match the user's intent, not a keyword in quoted text, source files or a discussion about implementing this skill. An ordinary bug fix, local function refactor, performance tweak or request to draw the current architecture alone does not start a review.
In Codex, select Birdview Review from the skill selector or mention $birdview-review. In Claude Code, use /birdview-review after installing this entry. Other hosts use their supported skill selector. Natural-language selection depends on the host discovering this installed skill; this is not a CLI subcommand or a guaranteed keyword hook. If another architecture-review skill also applies, follow the user's selection and reuse relevant findings in one review rather than producing competing reports.
This thin entry requires the complete birdview skill installed in the sibling ../birdview directory. Read ../birdview/references/review-architecture.md and ../birdview/references/review-contract.md, then use ../birdview/scripts/render-review.mjs. When working in the source checkout, use ../references and ../scripts instead. Resolve paths from this file, not the project working directory. If the bundle is missing, report the missing dependency; do not invent a renderer.
Review only the requested scope. Generate source-backed diagrams, show the HTML and wait for confirmation of a concrete proposal before implementing; reuse existing approval of the same displayed scope. Do not launch ordinary full-project mapping or automatic refactoring. Follow the user's explicit scope and confirmation waiver.
