Auto tmux Operator
tradecatlabs/vibe-coding-cn
Operates tmux sessions like an administrator: reads pane output, sends keys, inspects many panes at once, and coordinates multiple AI terminals through a swarm state script, built on oh-my-tmux.
Checks status, tails logs, queries the task queue, and starts, stops or restarts the Pilot daemon running on a specific AWS EC2 instance over SSM.

pilot-awsChecks status, tails logs, queries the task queue, and starts, stops or restarts the Pilot daemon running on a specific AWS EC2 instance over SSM.
This skill operates a Pilot daemon that was moved from running locally to a single AWS EC2 instance reached through AWS Systems Manager send-command, under a dedicated AWS profile and region. It starts every check with a zero-cost local status script before touching GitHub's shared quota, and offers a live tmux dashboard reached over SSM to watch the daemon directly.
Beyond status, it tails the daemon's log file with common filters, runs read-only SQLite queries against the daemon's own queue and ledger tables to see what is running or queued, and can stop, start, rebuild, upgrade or restart the daemon - though stop, start and restart are flagged as operator-consent actions that should not be taken autonomously during unattended runs. It also covers shipping files to the box by base64-encoding their contents, since inline heredocs do not survive the SSM command format.
It carries a few warnings specific to this box: never press q or Ctrl-C inside the live tmux session, since that kills the daemon, and never filter queue timestamps as strings across a known cutover date, since older rows use a different timestamp format.
6 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 47c307f. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves these tools, so the agent can use them without asking each time:
BashReadFrom allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
awsgitcurlmakeFrom the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md. Its commands use aws, git and curl, which can reach the network depending on how they are called.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Pilot AWS Daemon Operations loads about 3k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 88 tokens; SKILL.md has 1,091 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check noted patterns worth knowing about, such as sudo or a known installer.
al/bin/pilot is a SYMLINK to it — never `sudo install` over the symlink; rollback at pilot.preve daemon. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 1,091 words (~3,008 tokens).
“Since the S6-lite cutover (2026-07-16, TASK-409) the Pilot daemon runs on an EC2 box, NOT locally. Local pgrep pilot returning 0 is correct.”

Pilot AWS Daemon Operations fits situations like: checking whether the Pilot daemon on the AWS box is healthy; reading the Pilot daemon's logs or task queue over SSM; restarting or rebuilding the Pilot daemon on its EC2 instance.
Run `npx skills add qf-studio/pilot --skill pilot-aws -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (.claude/skills/pilot-aws in qf-studio/pilot) into .claude/skills/pilot-aws in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add qf-studio/pilot --skill pilot-aws -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (.claude/skills/pilot-aws in qf-studio/pilot) into .agents/skills/pilot-aws in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add qf-studio/pilot --skill pilot-aws -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/pilot-aws, .gemini/skills/pilot-aws, .github/skills/pilot-aws and .opencode/skills/pilot-aws in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Pilot AWS Daemon Operations needs the command-line tools its instructions call (aws, git, curl and make). Our summary lists: AWS CLI configured with the target profile; AWS Systems Manager access to the EC2 instance. Its frontmatter pre-approves these tools: Bash, Read.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Its commands use git and curl, which can reach the network depending on how they are called. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found notes only (runs commands with sudo; pre-approves every shell command (allowed-tools: bash)), nothing it rates as a warning. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Pilot AWS Daemon Operations has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 3k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 12k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
