create-projectScaffolds a complete, runnable project from scratch, covering web, Python and Node.js projects, with a working entry point and no placeholder code.
The skill guides building a new project step by step. It first clarifies what is being built, which technologies and which specific features, then plans a simple file structure and core components before writing anything, preferring zero or minimal dependencies.
Build rules differ by stack. Web projects favor a single HTML file with inline CSS and JS for simple cases, modern ES6+ and CSS Grid or Flexbox, and must open directly in a browser. Python projects need a main entry point and a requirements.txt when external packages are used. Node.js projects need a package.json with scripts and a README. Across all stacks the code must be complete and runnable, with no placeholders or TODOs, error handling for common failures and comments only where logic is non-obvious.
After writing the files, the agent lists what it created, gives the exact command to run the project and notes any prerequisites such as opening a file in a browser or running a Python entry point.
4 steps, taken from the step headings in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 8cbd7b7. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Project Scaffolder loads about 498 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 46 tokens; SKILL.md has 242 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 242 words (~498 tokens).
“You are scaffolding a new project from scratch. Follow these steps to create a well-structured, immediately runnable project.”

Scaffolds a complete, runnable project from scratch, covering web, Python and Node.js projects, with a working entry point and no placeholder code. The skill guides building a new project step by step. It first clarifies what is being built, which technologies and which specific features, then plans a simple file structure and core components before writing anything, preferring zero or minimal dependencies.
Project Scaffolder fits situations like: starting a new app, game, tool or script from nothing; scaffolding a simple single-file web project; setting up a runnable Python or Node.js project skeleton.
Run `npx skills add pretend1111/claude-desktop-app --skill create-project -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (electron/skills/create-project in pretend1111/claude-desktop-app) into .claude/skills/create-project in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add pretend1111/claude-desktop-app --skill create-project -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (electron/skills/create-project in pretend1111/claude-desktop-app) into .agents/skills/create-project in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add pretend1111/claude-desktop-app --skill create-project -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/create-project, .gemini/skills/create-project, .github/skills/create-project and .opencode/skills/create-project in your project.
SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Project Scaffolder is instructions for the agent only.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Project Scaffolder has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 498 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 2k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
