llmwiki-queryAnswer a question by querying the user's llmwiki. An agent skill from Pratiyush/llm-wiki.
Llmwiki Query is an agent skill from Pratiyush/llm-wiki. Answer a question by querying the user's llmwiki. Use when the user asks about their own past work — "what did I decide about X", "what have I been working on", "how did I solve Y", "what's my preferred approach to Z", or any question that the wiki (built from their session history) might answer. Always read the wiki first before falling back to external search.
Its SKILL.md is about 680 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.
It sits in Knowledge Management, covering LLM wikis. It works with Model Context Protocol. The repository describes itself as: LLM-powered knowledge base from your Claude Code, Codex CLI, Copilot, Cursor & Gemini sessions. Karpathy's LLM Wiki pattern — implemented and shipped. The licence is MIT.
8 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit b108889. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md (its code samples are markdown).
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Llmwiki Query loads about 684 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 95 tokens; SKILL.md has 344 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from Pratiyush/llm-wiki at commit b108889, republished under its MIT licence (© Pratiyush). 344 words, ~684 tokens.
.claude/skills/llmwiki-query/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder).Reads the user's local llmwiki (llmwiki/wiki/) and synthesises an answer to their question, with [[wikilink]] citations pointing to the source pages.
Invoke this skill when the user asks a question about their own work or history. Examples:
Do NOT invoke for questions that can be answered without the user's personal knowledge base (e.g., "how does TCP work?" → answer from general knowledge).
Follow the Query Workflow from the repo's CLAUDE.md:
Locate the llmwiki install (see llmwiki-sync skill for the fallback search order).
Read wiki/index.md to identify the set of pages that might be relevant.
Read wiki/overview.md to get the living synthesis context.
Pick the most relevant pages (sources, entities, concepts) based on the question.
Read those pages with the Read tool.
Synthesise an answer with inline [[wikilink]] citations. Quote directly from source pages when the wording matters.
If the answer is substantial (3+ paragraphs), ask the user whether to save it as a synthesis page:
Would you like me to save this as wiki/syntheses/<slug>.md for future reference? If yes, write it using the Synthesis Page Format from CLAUDE.md.
Append to wiki/log.md:

Llmwiki Query fits situations like: the user asks about their own past work — what did I decide about X; what have I been working on; how did I solve Y; whats my preferred approach to Z.
Run `npx skills add Pratiyush/llm-wiki --skill llmwiki-query -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (.claude/skills/llmwiki-query in Pratiyush/llm-wiki) into .claude/skills/llmwiki-query in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add Pratiyush/llm-wiki --skill llmwiki-query -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (.claude/skills/llmwiki-query in Pratiyush/llm-wiki) into .agents/skills/llmwiki-query in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add Pratiyush/llm-wiki --skill llmwiki-query -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/llmwiki-query, .gemini/skills/llmwiki-query, .github/skills/llmwiki-query and .opencode/skills/llmwiki-query in your project.
SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Llmwiki Query is instructions for the agent only.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Llmwiki Query is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 684 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 2.7k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
