What it does

Mint Release is an agent skill from pdparchitect/noodle. Procedure for minting or publishing a version of Noodle, Computer, Applet, Browser, Hub or the Computer images. Use when the user asks to mint, cut, prepare, release or publish a version, bump a VERSION file, or turn Unreleased changelog notes into a dated release section.

Its SKILL.md is about 280 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.

It sits in Development, covering Changelog and release notes. The licence is Apache-2.0.

When your agent uses it

  • The user asks to mint
  • Publish a version
  • Bump a VERSION file
  • Turn Unreleased changelog notes into a dated release section

Example prompts

  • “/mint-release”

Workflow steps

4 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.

  1. Set the product's version file to an unused, higher X.Y.Z.
  2. Move the relevant Unreleased notes in that product's changelog into
  3. Use that changelog entry as the release description.
  4. Run the affected tests and review the changes.

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 515f964. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

    No URLs in SKILL.md.

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

Context cost

Mint Release loads about 278 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 72 tokens; SKILL.md has 117 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~72
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~278

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

Mint a release

Do not publish a release unless the user explicitly asks. Pushing a new version to main requests publication, so commit and push only on that explicit request.

The complete process, including the per-product version and changelog files, CI behaviour and recovery, is in docs/releases.md. Read it first and follow it; this skill only summarises the preparation.

Prepare

  1. Set the product's version file to an unused, higher X.Y.Z.
  2. Move the relevant Unreleased notes in that product's changelog into ## [X.Y.Z] - YYYY-MM-DD. Keep any remaining work under Unreleased.
  3. Use that changelog entry as the release description.
  4. Run the affected tests and review the changes.

Do not create tags manually or reuse published versions.
