nippoGenerates daily reports, reflections, weekly reports, self-reviews and trend insights, in Japanese, from Claude Code, Codex and opencode session logs using the nippo CLI.
The SKILL.md is in Japanese. The first word of the arguments picks a mode: daily (the default), brief, reflection, guide, report, review, insight, trend, plan or ledger. Each mode has a default period, such as one day for a daily report, 7 days for a report or insight, 90 days for a review, and a trend that splits 90 days into three spans. Data is collected only with the nippo CLI, Python is forbidden, and the aggregated stats are quoted directly rather than recalculated.
Reports are written in Japanese into a reports folder as mode and date files. The temporary raw JSON file is deleted after saving, even on failure. For Codex the collector reads history, SQLite state and rollout data, the current session is excluded, and sparse metrics are stated openly rather than invented. In the nippo repository it prefers cargo run over the global binary. The plan mode reads the latest existing report without collecting. The excerpt is cut off in the mode table.
3 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit cdd521d. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves these tools, so the agent can use them without asking each time:

Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
cargoghFrom the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md. Its commands use gh, which can reach the network depending on how they are called.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Nippo Daily Report Generator loads about 1.7k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 87 tokens; SKILL.md has 486 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

Codex では history.jsonl と state_5.sqlite、および rollout_path が指す rollout データを使う。 meta.source meta.period meta.total_sessions stats.projects_worked_on stats.tool_frequency を推測で置き換えないmeta.period.from と meta.period.to を使い、実行日から日付を計算し直さないstats.projects_worked_on の順(message_count 降順)で選ぶ。
| reflection | reflection | 1日 | nippo collect --period today |
| guide | guide | 1日 | nippo collect --period today |
| report | report | 7日 | nippo collect --days 7 --stats-only |
| review | review | 90日 | nippo collect --days 90 --stats-only |
| insight | insight | 7日 | nippo collect --days 7 |
| trend | trend | 90日 | 期間を3等分し、区間ごとに nippo collect --from X --to Y --format summary を3回 |
Read |
| ledger | ledger | なし(reports/nippo-*.md) | nippo ledger(collect は実行しない) |
出力ファイル名は reports/nippo-YYYY-MM-DD.md を使う。
today / yesterday / this-week / last-week / week-before-last / this-month / last-month / month-before-last は --period に渡す。
reports/ledger.yaml が存在すればそれも
${CLAUDE_SKILL_DIR}/docs/templates/plan-template.md と
${CLAUDE_SKILL_DIR}/docs/reflection-theory.md を Read し、候補を 1〜3 個だけ提示する。
reports/plan-YYYY-MM-DD.md に保存し、パスを通知して完了。
|---|---|---|
| 日報 | ${CLAUDE_SKILL_DIR}/docs/templates/nippo-template.md | 用語レビュー含む |
| reflection | ${CLAUDE_SKILL_DIR}/docs/templates/reflection-template.md | 回答は書かない |
| guide | ${CLAUDE_SKILL_DIR}/docs/templates/guide-template.md | 回答 + 概念 + 多角的フィードバック |
| report | ${CLAUDE_SKILL_DIR}/docs/templates/report-template.md | 成果 + 課題。
| review | ${CLAUDE_SKILL_DIR}/docs/templates/review-template.md | 成果の定量化 + 成長 + 次期目標 |
| insight | ${CLAUDE_SKILL_DIR}/docs/templates/insight-template.md | ALACT モデルで回答付き |
| trend | ${CLAUDE_SKILL_DIR}/docs/templates/trend-template.md | 3期間の比較。
| plan | ${CLAUDE_SKILL_DIR}/docs/templates/plan-template.md | 候補のみ提示。
reflection / guide / insight / plan は ${CLAUDE_SKILL_DIR}/docs/reflection-theory.md も Read する。

nwiizo/nippo
Turns recent Claude Code, Codex or opencode work into Japanese daily reports, reflections, reviews and trend summaries saved in a reports folder.
Works with
Generates daily reports, reflections, weekly reports, self-reviews and trend insights, in Japanese, from Claude Code, Codex and opencode session logs using the nippo CLI. md is in Japanese. The first word of the arguments picks a mode: daily (the default), brief, reflection, guide, report, review, insight, trend, plan or ledger.
Nippo Daily Report Generator fits situations like: writing a daily work report from today's agent sessions; preparing a weekly progress report from recent session logs; doing a longer self-review or trend analysis of how your work changed; generating reflection questions or a morning action plan from past work.
Run `npx skills add nwiizo/nippo --skill nippo -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (.claude/skills/nippo in nwiizo/nippo) into .claude/skills/nippo in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add nwiizo/nippo --skill nippo -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (.claude/skills/nippo in nwiizo/nippo) into .agents/skills/nippo in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add nwiizo/nippo --skill nippo -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/nippo, .gemini/skills/nippo, .github/skills/nippo and .opencode/skills/nippo in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Nippo Daily Report Generator needs the command-line tools its instructions call (cargo and gh). Our summary lists: The nippo CLI, or cargo to run it from the repository; Session logs from Claude Code, Codex or opencode. Its frontmatter pre-approves these tools: Read, Write, Glob, Bash(nippo *), Bash(cargo run -q -p nippo *), Bash(mkdir -p reports), Bash(mkdir -p tmp), Bash(rm -f tmp/nippo-raw.json), Bash(gh issue list *), Bash(gh issue create *).
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Its commands use gh, which can reach the network depending on how they are called. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Nippo Daily Report Generator is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 1.7k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 6.7k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
