1688-sourcing-inquirySubmits a 1688 procurement inquiry for a vague sourcing need, describing item, quantity and requirements so the platform can match suppliers and quotes.
This skill covers the sourcing stage before a purchase on 1688: a user has a rough need, such as an item name, a quantity and some requirements, but has not picked a specific product. The agent submits a procurement inquiry through a bundled Python CLI, and the platform matches suppliers and quotation plans. Two commands exist: one to start an inquiry with item name, count and demand, and one to configure the access key.
Output is JSON with a success flag, a markdown field and data, and the markdown field is shown as it is, with the agent's own analysis added after it. Strict rules forbid inventing prices, links, specifications or supply information, and forbid searching the web or browsing for products when the key is missing or a command fails. Browsing, finding similar items and price comparison go to 1688-product-find, ordering and payment with a chosen product to 1688-order, and finding suppliers or factories to 1688-source-suppliers.
Bundled files include scripts for authorization, a local callback server, HTTP and error handling, and a tracker module accompanied by a note on its tracking events.

1688 Procurement Inquiry loads about 1.1k tokens when it runs, and up to ~3.7k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 74 tokens; SKILL.md has 267 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); the scripts in this folder are not scanned.
Without a licence we can't republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 267 words (~1,140 tokens).

Going by SKILL.md and its folder, 1688 Procurement Inquiry needs Python for the scripts in its folder and the command-line tools its instructions call (python3). Our summary lists: Python 3 with the CLI's requirements installed; A 1688 access key configured with the configure command.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. The check reads SKILL.md only: the scripts in the folder are not scanned, so read them before running anything.
No licence was found for 1688 Procurement Inquiry or its repository. Without one, default copyright applies: ask the author before reusing or redistributing it.
About 1.1k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 4.6k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full. Its references folder adds about 2.6k tokens, read only when the agent opens those files.
