Connect browser wallets in Blazor using EIP-6963, MetaMask, or WalletConnect/Reown (.NET/C).

  • The user asks about connecting wallets in Blazor
  • SKILL.md covers Option 1: EIP-6963…, Option 2: MetaMask Direct, Option 3: WalletConnect /… and Getting Web3 After Connection, plus 3 more sections

What it does

Blazor Wallet Connect is an agent skill from Nethereum/Nethereum. Connect browser wallets in Blazor using EIP-6963, MetaMask, or WalletConnect/Reown (.NET/C). Use this skill when the user asks about connecting wallets in Blazor, EIP-6963, MetaMask Blazor integration, WalletConnect, Reown AppKit, or browser wallet discovery in a Blazor web app.

Its SKILL.md is about 1.4k tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.

It sits in Backend & APIs. It works with Blazor, macOS, C# and .NET. The repository describes itself as: Ethereum .Net cross platform integration library. The licence is MIT.

When your agent uses it

  • The user asks about connecting wallets in Blazor
  • MetaMask Blazor integration
  • Browser wallet discovery in a Blazor web app

Example prompts

  • “/blazor-wallet-connect”

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 229f278. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

    Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

    From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

    No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md (its code samples are csharp, razor and html).

    From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

    Links to these hosts (documentation or services it may open):

    • cloud.reown.com
    • docs.nethereum.com

    From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

    Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

    From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

Context cost

Blazor Wallet Connect loads about 1.4k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 76 tokens; SKILL.md has 143 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~76
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~1.4k

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

Blazor Wallet Connection

Connect browser wallets in Blazor using EIP-6963 multi-wallet discovery (recommended), MetaMask, or WalletConnect/Reown.

EIP-6963 discovers all installed browser wallets. Users choose which to connect. This is the modern replacement for window.ethereum.

        };
    }
}

Getting Web3 After Connection

All providers implement IEthereumHostProvider. Once connected:

csharp
var web3 = await ethereumHostProvider.GetWeb3Async();
var blockNumber = await web3.Eth.Blocks.GetBlockNumber.SendRequestAsync();
var balance = await web3.Eth.GetBalance.SendRequestAsync(address);

Event Handling

All providers raise events for account and network changes:

csharp
ethereumHostProvider.SelectedAccountChanged += async (address) => { ... };
ethereumHostProvider.NetworkChanged += async (chainId) => { ... };
ethereumHostProvider.EnabledChanged += async (enabled) => { ... };

Switching and Adding Chains

csharp
await web3.Eth.HostWallet.SwitchEthereumChain.SendRequestAsync(
    new SwitchEthereumChainParameter { ChainId = 10.ToHexBigInteger() });

var chainFeature = ChainDefaultFeaturesServicesRepository.GetDefaultChainFeature(Chain.Optimism);
await web3.Eth.HostWallet.AddEthereumChain.SendRequestAsync(chainFeature.ToAddEthereumChainParameter());

AuthorizeView Integration

All providers work with Blazor's <AuthorizeView>:

razor
<AuthorizeView Roles="EthereumConnected">
    <Authorized>
        <p>Connected as @context.User.Identity?.Name</p>
    </Authorized>
    <NotAuthorized>
        <button @onclick="ConnectAsync">Connect Wallet</button>
    </NotAuthorized>
</AuthorizeView>

For full SIWE authentication with JWT tokens, see the blazor-authentication skill.
