test-nodebridge-handlerRuns Neovate Code's NodeBridge message handlers from the command line with bun scripts/test-nodebridge.ts, listing handlers and passing parameters.
The skill documents one script, scripts/test-nodebridge.ts, run with bun. A list flag prints every available handler, and naming a handler runs it with options passed either as key-value flags, where true, false and numbers are converted automatically and a bare flag becomes true, or as a JSON string through a data option that takes priority.
A table groups handlers by category: models, config, providers, mcp, output styles, project, projects, sessions, skills, slash commands, git and utils. Examples show testing a model with a prompt and timeout, listing projects with session details, reading skill details and checking git status in a given directory. The script prints the request JSON, then the response JSON with timing, shaped as a success with data or as an error.
2 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 0a24b36. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
NodeBridge Handler Tester loads about 711 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 43 tokens; SKILL.md has 172 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

neovateai/neovate-code
Walks through adding a message handler to NodeBridge in Neovate Code, from the implementation and its types to an optional test entry and a run with Bun.
Categories
Runs Neovate Code's NodeBridge message handlers from the command line with bun scripts/test-nodebridge.ts, listing handlers and passing parameters. ts, run with bun. A list flag prints every available handler, and naming a handler runs it with options passed either as key-value flags, where true, false and numbers are converted automatically and a bare flag becomes true, or as a JSON string through a data option that takes priority.
NodeBridge Handler Tester fits situations like: testing a NodeBridge handler without launching the full app; listing which NodeBridge handlers are available; passing nested JSON parameters to a handler under test.
Run `npx skills add neovateai/neovate-code --skill test-nodebridge-handler -a claude-code`. Going by SKILL.md and its folder, NodeBridge Handler Tester needs the command-line tools its instructions call (bun). Our summary lists: Bun; The neovate-code repository with scripts/test-nodebridge.ts.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
NodeBridge Handler Tester is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 711 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 2.8k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
Skills that share tags, products or a category with NodeBridge Handler Tester: Template Instantiation (dotnet/skills, 5.6k stars), Review (trailofbits/coop, 762 stars), Diff-Driven QA (Skyvern-AI/skyvern, 23k stars) and Swing Flatlaf Miglayout Principles (lakernote/easy-postman, 721 stars).
