pp-sunoThe correct, offline-first Suno CLI — every feature the abandoned clients have, plus a local SQLite library Trigger phrases: generate a song with suno, make music with suno, search my suno library…
Pp Suno is an agent skill from mvanhorn/printing-press-library. The correct, offline-first Suno CLI — every feature the abandoned clients have, plus a local SQLite library Trigger phrases: generate a song with suno, make music with suno, search my suno library, download my suno tracks, download a wav from suno, organize my suno tracks into a workspace, what are my top suno songs, use suno, run suno.
Its SKILL.md is about 4.8k tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.
It sits in Databases. It works with Suno and SQLite. The repository describes itself as: Official library of CLIs generated by the CLI Printing Press. Endorsed, tested, and community-contributed. The licence is Apache-2.0.
3 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 76de244. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves these tools, so the agent can use them without asking each time:
ReadBashFrom allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
goclaudenpxcodexcursorFrom the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md. Its commands use npx, which can reach the network depending on how they are called.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Pp Suno loads about 4.8k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 91 tokens; SKILL.md has 2,147 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check noted patterns worth knowing about, such as sudo or a known installer.
allowed-tools: Read, BashAutomated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from mvanhorn/printing-press-library at commit 76de244, republished under its Apache-2.0 licence (© mvanhorn). 2,147 words, ~4,806 tokens.

This skill drives the suno-pp-cli binary. You must verify the CLI is installed before invoking any command from this skill. If it is missing, install it first:
$HOME/.local/bin on macOS/Linux and %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\PrintingPress\bin on Windows:npx -y @mvanhorn/printing-press-library install suno --cli-onlysuno-pp-cli --version$PATH for the agent/runtime that will invoke this skill. If the npx install fails (no Node, offline, etc.), fall back to a direct Go install (requires Go 1.26.6 or newer). This installs into $GOPATH/bin (default $HOME/go/bin), so add that directory to $PATH instead:
go install github.com/mvanhorn/printing-press-library/library/media-and-entertainment/suno/cmd/suno-pp-cli@latestIf --version reports "command not found" after install, the runtime cannot see the binary directory on $PATH. Do not proceed with skill commands until verification succeeds.
Suno has no official API and every reverse-engineered client is abandoned and wrong in ways that matter today: broken pagination, broken cover, stale pre-2026 auth, no local persistence. This CLI is built from the current contract. It walks the real opaque feed cursor, sends the now-required cover title, tolerates the drifted billing schema, authenticates against the current auth.suno.com Clerk flow via your logged-in browser, and persists your whole library to local SQLite for offline grep, SQL, lineage, and analytics. Generate, extend, cover, remaster, stems, lyrics, WAV download, and workspaces, all with --json, --select, --dry-run, and typed exit codes.
Use this CLI when an agent or script needs to generate Suno music programmatically, manage and search a personal Suno library offline, or run reproducible generate/poll/download pipelines with typed exit codes and JSON output. It is the right choice over the abandoned community wrappers because it tracks the current Suno contract and persists everything locally.
These capabilities aren't available in any other tool for this API.
grep — Find clips by remembered lyric, prompt, or tag phrases via local full-text search.
Reach for this when an agent needs to locate a specific past song by its content, not its title.
suno-pp-cli grep "rain" --json --select id,title, tagsanalytics — Grouped roll-ups across your whole library: counts, average duration/bpm, total plays and upvotes by any clip field.
Use this to see which models or settings produced your most-played tracks before the next session.
suno-pp-cli analytics --type clips --group-by model_name --jsonlineage — Render the iteration tree of a track: its extends, covers, and remixes, reconstructed from local links.
Reach for this to trace which seed a finished song descended from across many variations.
suno-pp-cli lineage 7d869de4-9476-4a4d-a6f2-c0eec968a3e2 --jsontop — Ranked flat list of your best clips by plays, upvotes, or duration, with machine-readable output.
Use this to pipe your strongest tracks into a publishing or playlist workflow.
suno-pp-cli top --by upvote_count --limit 10 --jsonsql — Run read-only SQL directly against your local synced clip store.
Reach for this when an agent needs an arbitrary query no fixed command covers.
suno-pp-cli sql "SELECT title, duration FROM clips WHERE make_instrumental = 1 ORDER BY duration DESC LIMIT 5" --jsoncredits --forecast — Remaining credits plus your recent generation volume measured against Suno's captcha-throttle threshold.
Use this before a batch session to judge how many more generations you can run before hCaptcha kicks in.

suno-pp-cli generate create — Generate a custom song from lyrics (captcha-gated). --variation high|normal|subtle, --project <id>.suno-pp-cli generate describe — Description-driven (inspiration) generation. --variation, --instrumental.All captcha-gated generate commands accept --wait-for-gate (with --gate-timeout, default 30m): when Suno's adaptive gate is tripped (HTTP 422 token_validation_failed), the command backs off and retries until the gate reopens or the timeout elapses. Off by default. It composes with the auto-solver — the solver runs first and --wait-for-gate rides out any residual gate, while under --no-captcha it drives the passive, no-browser fallback on its own. In --agent/JSON mode a gate failure is emitted as a structured envelope on stdout with error_type: "captcha_required" and retriable: true, so agents branch on a field rather than parsing prose.

suno-pp-cli which "<capability in your own words>"which resolves a natural-language capability query to the best matching command from this CLI's curated feature index. Exit code 0 means at least one match; exit code 2 means no confident match — fall back to --help or use a narrower query.
suno-pp-cli generate create --title "Night Drive" --tags "synthwave, retro" --lyrics "Neon lights on wet asphalt" --token hc_demo_token --wait --jsonSubmits a custom generation, polls until complete, and prints the finished clip as JSON. Omit --token to let the CLI auto-solve via the captcha profile, or supply a pre-solved token to skip the browser.
suno-pp-cli clips get --ids 7d869de4-9476-4a4d-a6f2-c0eec968a3e2 --agent --select id,title,status,audio_url,metadata.duration,metadata.tagsFetches a clip and narrows the verbose nested payload to just the fields an agent needs, saving context.
suno-pp-cli sql "SELECT title, duration FROM clips WHERE make_instrumental = 1 ORDER BY duration DESC LIMIT 5" --jsonQueries the local store directly for your longest instrumental tracks, no API call.
suno-pp-cli credits --forecast --jsonShows remaining credits and recent generation volume against the captcha-throttle threshold.
suno-pp-cli workspace add ws_3f2a91 --clip clip_a1b2 --clip clip_c3d4Adds clips to a Suno workspace (project) so they stay organized on suno.com.
suno-pp-cli download clip_a1b2c3 --format wav --out ./tracksTriggers WAV conversion, polls until ready, and saves the lossless file (Pro/Premier).
Suno uses Clerk session auth (auth.suno.com). Run suno-pp-cli auth login --chrome to capture your logged-in session cookie from Chrome; the CLI mints and refreshes the short-lived JWT for you. No password or API key is stored. Music generation is attempted optimistically with no token. Suno gates generation adaptively (an hCaptcha anti-bot challenge that usually fires only after sustained use), so many generations succeed outright. When the gate does trip, the CLI automatically solves it using a dedicated piloted-Chrome profile — run suno-pp-cli auth captcha login --profile <name> to sign a profile in, then pass --captcha-profile <name> on any gated command to select that account. Under --agent/--no-input the visible browser fallback is suppressed and a structured {"error_type":"captcha_required","retriable":true} envelope is emitted on stdout (exit 2). To skip the auto-solver entirely, pass --no-captcha or supply a pre-solved token with --token. All read, library, and metadata commands never need a captcha.
Run suno-pp-cli doctor to verify setup. Add --probe-gate to check the live generation gate specifically: the default health check only proves the billing API is reachable, which stays green even while generation is gated. doctor --probe-gate reports tripped (the adaptive hCaptcha gate is active) or open. WARNING: it issues a real generation — free when the gate is tripped, but it creates a clip and spends credits when the gate is open (the probe clip is best-effort trashed).
Add --agent to any command. Expands to: --json --compact --no-input --no-color --yes.
Pipeable — JSON on stdout, errors on stderr
Filterable — --select keeps a subset of fields. Dotted paths descend into nested structures; arrays traverse element-wise. Critical for keeping context small on verbose APIs:
suno-pp-cli clips list --agent --select id,name, statusPreviewable — --dry-run shows the request without sending
Offline-friendly — sync/search commands can use the local SQLite store when available
Non-interactive — never prompts, every input is a flag
Explicit retries — use --idempotent only when an already-existing create should count as success
Commands that read from the local store or the API wrap output in a provenance envelope:
{
"meta": {"source": "live" | "local", "synced_at": "...", "reason": "..."},
"results": <data>
}Parse .results for data and .meta.source to know whether it's live or local. A human-readable N results (live) summary is printed to stderr only when stdout is a terminal AND no machine-format flag (--json, --csv, --compact, --quiet, --plain, --select) is set — piped/agent consumers and explicit-format runs get pure JSON on stdout.
When you (or the agent) notice something off about this CLI, record it:
suno-pp-cli feedback "the --since flag is inclusive but docs say exclusive"
suno-pp-cli feedback --stdin < notes.txt
suno-pp-cli feedback list --json --limit 10Entries are stored locally at ~/.local/share/suno-pp-cli/feedback.jsonl. They are never POSTed unless SUNO_FEEDBACK_ENDPOINT is set AND either --send is passed or SUNO_FEEDBACK_AUTO_SEND=true. Default behavior is local-only.
Write what surprised you, not a bug report. Short, specific, one line: that is the part that compounds.
Every command accepts --deliver <sink>. The output goes to the named sink in addition to (or instead of) stdout, so agents can route command results without hand-piping. Three sinks are supported:
| Sink | Effect |
|---|---|
stdout | Default; write to stdout only |
file:<path> | Atomically write output to <path> (tmp + rename) |
webhook:<url> | POST the output body to the URL (application/json or application/x-ndjson when --compact) |
Unknown schemes are refused with a structured error naming the supported set. Webhook failures return non-zero and log the URL + HTTP status on stderr.
A profile is a saved set of flag values, reused across invocations. Use it when a scheduled agent calls the same command every run with the same configuration - HeyGen's "Beacon" pattern.
suno-pp-cli profile save briefing --json
suno-pp-cli --profile briefing clips list
suno-pp-cli profile list --json
suno-pp-cli profile show briefing
suno-pp-cli profile delete briefing --yesExplicit flags always win over profile values; profile values win over defaults. agent-context lists all available profiles under available_profiles so introspecting agents discover them at runtime.

Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Pp Suno needs the command-line tools its instructions call (go, claude, npx, codex and cursor). Our summary lists: Node.js. Its frontmatter pre-approves these tools: Read, Bash.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Its commands use npx, which can reach the network depending on how they are called. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found notes only (pre-approves every shell command (allowed-tools: bash)), nothing it rates as a warning. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Pp Suno is published under the Apache-2.0 licence (declared in SKILL.md). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
