analyze-io-tracesRead and analyze AIRI IO traces that Tamagotchi saved to local files.
Analyze Io Traces is an agent skill from moeru-ai/airi. Read and analyze AIRI IO traces that Tamagotchi saved to local files. Use when the user asks why a chat, speech, or audio turn was slow, failed, or behaved wrongly, and recording is enabled in Settings System Developer.
Its SKILL.md is about 540 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.
The repository describes itself as: 💖🧸 Self hosted, you-owned Grok Companion, a container of souls of waifu, cyber livings to bring them into our worlds, wishing to achieve Neuro-sama's altitude. Capable of… The licence is MIT.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit ec682e2. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:

No URLs in SKILL.md. Its commands use pnpm, which can reach the network depending on how they are called.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Analyze Io Traces loads about 542 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 60 tokens; SKILL.md has 177 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

.claude/skills/analyze-io-traces/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder).Tamagotchi saves each ended IO span as one JSON line when Record IO traces automatically is on. The setting is under Settings > System > Developer.
Files are named <start time>.jsonl. A new file starts each time recording starts. Files older than seven days are deleted.
ls -t "$HOME/Library/Application Support/ai.moeru.airi/io-traces"/*.jsonl | head -3
ls -t "$HOME/Library/Application Support/@proj-airi/stage-tamagotchi/io-traces"/*.jsonl | head -3The first path is the packaged app on macOS. The second is pnpm dev on macOS. If APP_USER_DATA_PATH is set, use $APP_USER_DATA_PATH/io-traces. If recording is off or nothing ran yet, the folder does not exist. Ask the user to turn it on and reproduce the problem.
Each line is one span with traceId, spanId, parentSpanId, name, startTimeNano, endTimeNano, status.code (2 means error), attributes, and events. Time values are decimal strings in nanoseconds. A trace is one interaction turn. Subsystems are in attributes["ai.moeru.airi.io.subsystem"].
Set F to the newest file first.
# Spans by name, slowest first, in milliseconds
jq -r '[.name, ((.endTimeNano|tonumber)-(.startTimeNano|tonumber))/1e6] | @tsv' "$F" | sort -t$'\t' -k2 -nr | head -20
# Spans with an error status
jq -c 'select(.status.code == 2) | {name, traceId, message: .status.message}' "$F"
# All spans of one trace in start order
jq -c 'select(.traceId == "TRACE_ID")' "$F" | jq -s 'sort_by(.startTimeNano|tonumber)'
# Time to first token for each LLM span
jq -c 'select(.events | any(.name | endswith("llm.first_token"))) | {traceId, events}' "$F"Spans are saved only after they end. A call that never ends is not in the file. Spans record timing and counts, not prompts or replies. Say so when the cause needs content.

Read and analyze AIRI IO traces that Tamagotchi saved to local files. Analyze Io Traces is an agent skill from moeru-ai/airi. Read and analyze AIRI IO traces that Tamagotchi saved to local files.
Analyze Io Traces fits situations like: the user asks why a chat; audio turn was slow; behaved wrongly; recording is enabled in Settings System Developer.
Run `npx skills add moeru-ai/airi --skill analyze-io-traces -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (.agents/skills/analyze-io-traces in moeru-ai/airi) into .claude/skills/analyze-io-traces in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add moeru-ai/airi --skill analyze-io-traces -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (.agents/skills/analyze-io-traces in moeru-ai/airi) into .agents/skills/analyze-io-traces in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add moeru-ai/airi --skill analyze-io-traces -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/analyze-io-traces, .gemini/skills/analyze-io-traces, .github/skills/analyze-io-traces and .opencode/skills/analyze-io-traces in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Analyze Io Traces needs the command-line tools its instructions call (jq and pnpm).
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Analyze Io Traces is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 542 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 2.2k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
