triage-meeting-prepPrepares the triage meeting summary for WinAppSDK Needs-Triage issues, with research-backed area suggestions, draft replies and a diff since the last triage.
The skill prepares the summary for the WinAppSDK triage meeting. It concentrates on issues that need attention: open issues labeled Needs-Triage with no area label, which need an area assigned, and closed issues still labeled Needs-Triage, which need a follow-up reply. Open issues that already carry both Needs-Triage and an `area-*` label are left out because they await the area team.
Suggestions and draft replies are backed by research: a GitHub search for similar issues, codebase searches, Microsoft documentation lookups and git history to find area owners. The summary tracks four categories since the last triage: popular issues with at least 5 reactions, issues created this week, older pending issues and closed issues needing replies, with each suggestion carrying a confidence score for filtering. Five PowerShell scripts fetch issues, details and labels and save and compare triage state, and a template shapes the output.
2 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit b0d4f7a. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Ships 5 files in scripts/ (PowerShell), which the agent can run.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
ghwingetgitFrom the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
Links to these hosts (documentation or services it may open):
cli.github.comFrom URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
WinAppSDK Triage Meeting Prep loads about 2.8k tokens when it runs, and up to ~7.9k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 103 tokens; SKILL.md has 1,103 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); the scripts in this folder are not scanned.
The full file from microsoft/WindowsAppSDK at commit b0d4f7a, republished under its Apache-2.0 licence (© microsoft). 1,103 words, ~2,804 tokens.

Note: Open issues with both
Needs-TriageAND anarea-*label are excluded — they're already triaged and waiting for area team action.
Every suggestion and reply is backed by research:
| Research Type | What We Search | Why |
|---|---|---|
| 🔍 Similar Issues | GitHub issue search | Find duplicates, related bugs, past fixes |
| 💻 Codebase | grep_search, semantic_search | Understand technical context, find workarounds |
| 📚 Documentation | fetch_webpage on MS docs | Verify known limitations, expected behavior |
| 📜 Git History | git log, git blame | Identify area owners, recent changes |
This ensures:
The skill tracks four critical categories for each meeting:
| Category | Description | Action Required |
|---|---|---|
| 🌟 Popular Issues | ≥5 reactions (community interest) | May need priority attention |
| 🆕 Created This Week | Issues created since last weekly triage | Review + assign area |
| ⏳ Older Pending | Older issues still without area labels | Follow up — why no action? |
| ✅ Closed (need reply) | Closed issues with customer follow-up | Draft reply with [confidence:XX] |
All suggestions include confidence scoring in [confidence:XX] format for easy filtering.

| Category | Definition | Action Needed |
|---|---|---|
| 🌟 Popular Issues | ≥5 reactions (community interest) | May need priority attention |
| 🆕 Created This Week | createdAt is after last weekly triage date | Use Get-IssueDetails.ps1 + assign area |
| ⏳ Older Pending | Created before this week, still no area label | Follow up — why not actioned? |
| ✅ Resolved | In previous state, NOT in current | Acknowledge (got area label or closed) |
| 🏷️ Closed (cleanup) | Closed + still has Needs-Triage label | Remove Needs-Triage label |
Key distinction: "Created This Week" is based on when the issue was created (
createdAt), not when it was first seen in triage runs. This ensures new issues are highlighted even if triage runs multiple times per week.
See template-summary.md for the full template structure.
Issues without an area-* label are classified by the agent using LLM reasoning — not keyword matching. The agent:
Get-RepositoryLabels.ps1 -Filter "area-*"Get-IssueDetails.ps1Confidence scale:
| Score | Level | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| 80–100 | High | Issue explicitly names the component; maps to exactly one area |
| 60–79 | Medium-High | Strong signals (stack traces, API names) point to one area |
| 40–59 | Medium | Reasonable match, but 2+ areas are plausible |
| 20–39 | Low | Weak signal; best guess |
| 0–19 | Very Low | No clear signal; vague or multi-area |
See workflow-triage-prep.md for the full confidence rubric and adjusters.

Going by SKILL.md and its folder, WinAppSDK Triage Meeting Prep needs PowerShell for the scripts in its folder and the command-line tools its instructions call (gh, winget and git). Our summary lists: PowerShell, to run the bundled scripts; Access to the GitHub issues of microsoft/WindowsAppSDK.
SKILL.md names 1 domain. As links in the text: cli.github.com. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. The check reads SKILL.md only: the scripts in the folder are not scanned, so read them before running anything.
WinAppSDK Triage Meeting Prep is published under the Apache-2.0 licence (from the LICENSE file in the skill folder). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 2.8k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 11k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full. Its references folder adds about 5.1k tokens, read only when the agent opens those files.
