compare-cohortsA skill your agent uses when comparing process cohorts, departments, periods or before-and-after results under matched definitions.
Compare Cohorts is an agent skill from microsoft/power-platform-skills, published by the product's own GitHub organization. Use when comparing process cohorts, departments, periods or before-and-after results under matched definitions.
Its SKILL.md is about 920 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.
The repository describes itself as: A plugin marketplace for GitHub Copilot and other AI agents that provides Power Platform development plugins, including reusable skills, agents, and commands for building and… The licence is MIT.
3 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 7d6b845. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves these tools, so the agent can use them without asking each time:
ReadAskUserQuestionFrom allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Compare Cohorts loads about 922 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 32 tokens; SKILL.md has 403 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

.claude/skills/compare-cohorts/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder).Use the shared contract and filters/units. Fix the outcome definition/provenance, metric, aggregation, units, timezone and one selector S. Freeze the user's agreed baseline F, separately from current exploratory filters. Reuse metadata versions and exact typed cohort values. Use the investigation method for findings/status.
{attributeName:A,dataType:T,attributeValues:[X],isInclusive:true} to
attributeValueFilters for A's cohort value, and the same shape with Y for B.
Preserve other agreed baseline conditions; retain rework restrictions only if part of that
baseline. Do not leak an exploratory/outcome-only subset into a full-population comparison.
Change only the intended cohort condition. If values are unknown, request
get_attribute_values_v2 {S,attributeName:A,itemsPerPage:20,itemsToSkip:0,filterOptions:F};
it returns values, not frequencies.get_process_overall_metrics_v2 {S,filterOptions:F_A} ->
get_process_overall_metrics_v2 {S,filterOptions:F_B}.
No metrics, groupBy or aggregation parameter exists. Use the same returned metric definitions;
native CaseDuration/CaseWaitingTime are means.get_attribute_statistics {S,attributeName:A,filterOptions:F_A,itemsPerPage:5,itemsToSkip:0,metricToSortBy:"TotalDuration",sortOrder:"Descending"},
then exactly the same call with F_B. Do not treat independent top-five pages as a complete aligned population.Continue relevant value/group pages or matched follow-ups when needed, without fixed call quotas. Stop at sufficient evidence, no new information or a capability/error boundary; no blind sweeps. Do not create views or use two inclusive timeframes in one query as an A/B comparison.
For periods, change only one explicit timeframeFilters start/end pair in each copied F.
Case windows mean Contained, not cases Started/Completed/Intersecting or all events during the period.
If completed-only membership including earlier starts is essential, stop/reframe or route
to derive-metric/a user-confirmed existing matching view. Never invent a date-mode field
or promise unknown end-boundary behavior.
If refresh is reported or reproducibility is at risk, recheck details. Changed PV/PMV invalidates the pair: mark inconclusive, stop or deliberately rerun both, not just the second. Process selection resolves latest; no direct version selector or atomic comparison snapshot exists. Views pin version context but their configuration is mutable/cached.
Report A/B counts, mean metrics, absolute delta and relative change only for a nonzero baseline. Empty cohorts mean insufficient evidence, not zero duration/infinite improvement. State scope/version and unmatched-group coverage; at most five headline rows. Recorded means do not establish closure, equal maturity or complete lifecycles. Report those as unknown unless supported; qualify the comparison, not an assumed causal improvement. Retain baseline/cohort filters, evidence references, status and alternatives. Overlapping groups cannot be added as unique-case totals. Object-centric comparisons belong in analyze-objects, not case-filter fallbacks.

Compare Cohorts is an agent skill from microsoft/power-platform-skills, published by the product's own GitHub organization. Use when comparing process cohorts, departments, periods or before-and-after results under matched definitions.
Compare Cohorts fits situations like: comparing process cohorts; before-and-after results under matched definitions.
Run `npx skills add microsoft/power-platform-skills --skill compare-cohorts -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (plugins/process-intelligence/skills/compare-cohorts in microsoft/power-platform-skills) into .claude/skills/compare-cohorts in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add microsoft/power-platform-skills --skill compare-cohorts -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (plugins/process-intelligence/skills/compare-cohorts in microsoft/power-platform-skills) into .agents/skills/compare-cohorts in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add microsoft/power-platform-skills --skill compare-cohorts -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/compare-cohorts, .gemini/skills/compare-cohorts, .github/skills/compare-cohorts and .opencode/skills/compare-cohorts in your project.
SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Compare Cohorts is instructions for the agent only. Its frontmatter pre-approves these tools: Read, AskUserQuestion.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Compare Cohorts is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 922 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 3.7k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
