openloomiOpenLoomi entrypoint for skill-only agent runtimes without a plugin mechanism.
Openloomi is an agent skill from melandlabs/openloomi. OpenLoomi entrypoint for skill-only agent runtimes without a plugin mechanism. Use when the user mentions OpenLoomi or Loomi, wants first-use setup guidance, wants to use local OpenLoomi memory, connectors, Loop, knowledge base, RAG search, or asks how to install OpenLoomi skills in runtimes such as WorkBuddy or other skill-capable agents.
Its SKILL.md is about 840 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.
It sits in Knowledge Management, covering Knowledge bases and Retrieval-augmented generation. It works with Slack. The repository describes itself as: OpenLoomi is an open-source AI coworker. It connects your work tools, understands what you’re working on, and tells you what needs your attention, why it matters, and what to do… The licence is Apache-2.0.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 2aca101. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Openloomi loads about 835 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 88 tokens; SKILL.md has 391 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

OpenLoomi remains the runtime owner. The desktop app owns memory storage, connector credentials, Loop execution, model/provider settings, local API routes, and secret handling. Skills only explain how to route work into that local runtime.
When readiness is unknown, start with openloomi-setup. It guides the user
through installing or opening OpenLoomi Desktop, confirming the local API, and
finishing the session/token setup. Do not ask the user to paste API keys,
OAuth tokens, connector secrets, or OpenLoomi auth tokens into chat.
Use the narrow OpenLoomi skill that matches the task:
| User intent | Use |
|---|---|
| First-use setup, install guidance, readiness checks | openloomi-setup |
| Search memory, knowledge base, documents, insights | openloomi-memory |
| Connect platforms, list accounts, check connector status, send replies | openloomi-connectors |
| Use third-party OAuth apps such as Slack, Gmail, GitHub, Notion, Linear, or Jira | composio, paired with openloomi-connectors |
| Inspect Loop state, run a tick, manage decisions, preferences, channels, or rules | openloomi-loop |
| List active Goals or inspect ordered Goal progress | openloomi-goals |
| Answer backend route, local API, auth, RAG, integrations, or workspace questions | openloomi-api |
| Explain OpenLoomi concepts, product capabilities, or user workflows | openloomi-feature-guide |
Use these examples to route common requests without reimplementing OpenLoomi logic in the agent:
openloomi-setup if readiness is unknown, then
use openloomi-memory to search memory, knowledge base documents, or
insights.openloomi-setup, use openloomi-connectors to
check connector/account readiness, then use composio for the
OAuth-backed Slack action when the user asks to send or post.openloomi-setup, use openloomi-memory for
relevant context, then use composio or connector guidance for the mail
surface the user has authorized.openloomi-setup, use composio for
the authorized Notion access path, then hand useful context to
openloomi-memory or openloomi-api when the user wants it saved,
searched, or grounded in the local knowledge base.loomi-bridge.mjs.openloomi-setup to provide official installation and recovery guidance.© melandlabs, Apache-2.0. Rendered from Markdown: HTML in the file is shown as text, images as links, and headings moved down two levels. Raw file

Run `npx skills add melandlabs/openloomi --skill openloomi -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/openloomi in melandlabs/openloomi) into .claude/skills/openloomi in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add melandlabs/openloomi --skill openloomi -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/openloomi in melandlabs/openloomi) into .agents/skills/openloomi in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.

SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Openloomi is instructions for the agent only.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Openloomi is published under the Apache-2.0 licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 835 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 3.3k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
