tikhub-api-helperSearches TikHub's social media API endpoints and calls them from the command line for TikTok, Douyin, Xiaohongshu, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit and more.
This skill helps find and call TikHub API endpoints, which expose social media data for platforms including TikTok, Douyin, Xiaohongshu, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Reddit, Bilibili, Weibo and Zhihu. Two Python scripts do the work: api_searcher.py searches an included OpenAPI description by keyword, in English or Chinese, or lists the tags, and api_client.py sends requests to the chosen endpoint.
The flow is to search for relevant endpoints, show you the options and parameters, call the API and return formatted results. Examples cover fetching a user profile, post details, search results and comments, and a health check needs no authentication while other calls do. A table lists endpoint counts per platform tag, for example 58 for TikTok Web and 76 for Douyin Web.
4 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 95b2a10. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Ships script files (Python), which the agent can run.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
pythonFrom the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
Hosts in commands or code, which the agent is likely to contact:

tikhub.iodocs.tikhub.iomonitor.tikhub.iogithub.comFrom URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names these keys or tokens, usually read from environment variables:
TIKHUB_TOKENDEFAULT_TOKENFrom names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
TikHub API Helper loads about 1.5k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 63 tokens; SKILL.md has 401 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Without a licence we can't republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 401 words (~1,461 tokens).

Going by SKILL.md and its folder, TikHub API Helper needs Python for the scripts in its folder, the command-line tools its instructions call (python) and credentials named TIKHUB_TOKEN and DEFAULT_TOKEN. Our summary lists: Python to run api_searcher.py and api_client.py; A TikHub API key for authenticated endpoints.
SKILL.md names 6 domains. In commands or code: api.tikhub.io and api.tikhub.dev; the agent is likely to contact these when it follows the instructions. As links in the text: tikhub.io, docs.tikhub.io, monitor.tikhub.io and github.com. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
No licence was found for TikHub API Helper or its repository. Without one, default copyright applies: ask the author before reusing or redistributing it.
About 1.5k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 5.8k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
