Guides changes to the langbot-skills repository so skills, references, cases, suites, fixtures and troubleshooting entries each live in one place with little duplication.

langbot-skills-maintenanceGuides changes to the langbot-skills repository so skills, references, cases, suites, fixtures and troubleshooting entries each live in one place with little duplication.
Before changing reusable assets, the agent reads AGENTS.md, skills/.env and the relevant existing files, then classifies the change. SKILL.md holds routing and short operating rules, references hold the detailed workflows, cases are executable test-plan skeletons, suites are groups of case ids, fixtures.json carries fixture readiness metadata, and each troubleshooting file covers one reusable failure mode. Run evidence under reports is output, not something to commit. The agent searches existing assets with rg and the bin/lbs list commands first, puts detail in a single canonical place, links to it and runs the checks listed in AGENTS.md.
A set of entropy rules keeps the repository small: extend an existing entry when the root cause matches, keep cases to setup, action, evidence and checks, keep suites to a title, intent, tags and ordered case ids, and keep fixture manifests factual without absolute paths. Ports, browser profile paths, secrets, tokens and provider keys are never hardcoded. bin/lbs index --check verifies the committed index without writing it, and references/curation-workflow.md covers periodic audits.

LangBot Skills Maintenance loads about 603 tokens when it runs, and up to ~1.5k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 64 tokens; SKILL.md has 270 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check noted patterns worth knowing about, such as sudo or a known installer.
1. Read `AGENTS.md`, `skills/.env`, and the relevant existing skill files.Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

Going by SKILL.md and its folder, LangBot Skills Maintenance needs the command-line tools its instructions call (rg). Our summary lists: A checkout of the langbot-skills repository with its bin/lbs tool.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found notes only (mentions a .env file), nothing it rates as a warning. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
LangBot Skills Maintenance is published under the Apache-2.0 licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 603 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 2.4k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full. Its references folder adds about 855 tokens, read only when the agent opens those files.
