What it does

Graphify Query is an agent skill from Kc1t/alethe-agents. Query the Graphify knowledge graph (graphify-out/) for this repo's architecture, god nodes, community structure, and cross-file relationships — use for codebase-structure questions instead of raw grep/source browsing.

Its SKILL.md is about 410 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.

It sits in Knowledge Management, covering Knowledge graphs. The repository describes itself as: A local-first desktop workspace for running, organizing, and resuming multiple coding agents and shells with real PTYs, split panes, persistent layouts, and local session history. The licence is AGPL-3.0.

When your agent uses it

  • Codebase-structure questions instead of raw grep/source browsing
  • Tasks that involve Knowledge graphs

Example prompts

  • “/graphify-query”

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 505e2b3. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

    No URLs in SKILL.md.

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

Context cost

Graphify Query loads about 411 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 58 tokens; SKILL.md has 170 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~58
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~411

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

Graphify

This project has a knowledge graph at graphify-out/ with god nodes, community structure, and cross-file relationships.

Universal across the 3 agent providers Alethe spawns (Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode) when the project has Graphify enabled: each gets the Graphify MCP server wired into its session automatically (Claude via --mcp-config; Codex/OpenCode via .codex/config.toml/opencode.json in the project root — see graphify_codex_config_write/graphify_opencode_config_write in src-tauri/src/graphify.rs).

Rules:

  • If a Graphify MCP tool (e.g. graphify_query/similar) is available in this session, prefer calling it directly over shelling out — same scoped-subgraph result, no extra process spawn.
  • Otherwise, for codebase questions, first run graphify query "<question>" when graphify-out/graph.json exists. Use graphify path "<A>" "<B>" for relationships and graphify explain "<concept>" for focused concepts. These return a scoped subgraph, usually much smaller than GRAPH_REPORT.md or raw grep output.
  • If graphify-out/wiki/index.md exists, use it for broad navigation instead of raw source browsing.
  • Read graphify-out/GRAPH_REPORT.md only for broad architecture review or when query/path/explain do not surface enough context.
  • After modifying code, run graphify update . to keep the graph current (AST-only, no API cost).
