What it does

Review Code is an agent skill from josstei/maestro-orchestrate. Perform a Maestro-style code review with findings ordered by severity and concrete file references

Its SKILL.md is about 270 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.

It sits in Development, covering Code review and Mobile testing and debugging. The repository describes itself as: Multi-agent orchestration platform for Gemini CLI, Claude Code, Codex, and Qwen Code — 39 specialists, parallel subagents, persistent sessions, and built-in code review…. The licence is Apache-2.0.

Example prompts

Workflow steps

5 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.

  1. Determine review scope: explicit user-provided paths, staged changes, or last commit diff
  2. Delegate to the code-reviewer agent with the diff content and file paths
  3. Review for correctness, regressions, security, maintainability risk, and missing tests
  4. Classify findings by severity (Critical, Major, Minor, Suggestion) with concrete file and line references
  5. Present findings first, ordered by severity; keep the closing summary brief and only after findings

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 4f5d434. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

    No URLs in SKILL.md.

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

Context cost

Review Code loads about 265 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 28 tokens; SKILL.md has 124 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~28
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~265

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

Call get_skill_content with resources: ["architecture"].

Protocol

Before delegating, call get_skill_content with resources: ["delegation"] and follow the returned methodology.

Workflow

Constraints

  • Do not bury findings behind a long overview
  • Every finding must reference a specific file and line number -- no speculative issues
  • If no findings exist, say so explicitly and note residual testing gaps
