sync-profilesA skill your agent uses when the user wants to list, create, switch, delete, compare, or inspect config sync profiles.
Sync Profiles is an agent skill from jeremylongshore/tons-of-skills-marketplace. Use when the user wants to list, create, switch, delete, compare, or inspect config sync profiles.
Its SKILL.md is about 520 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.
The repository describes itself as: Model-agnostic agent-skills platform with a harness-free canonical layer, verified adapters, and the ccpi package manager. Explore at tonsofskills.com. The licence is MIT.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit cfae287. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves these tools, so the agent can use them without asking each time:
Bash(bash "${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/scripts/*")Bash(gh *)Bash(git *)ReadFrom allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
bashFrom the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Sync Profiles loads about 520 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 28 tokens; SKILL.md has 162 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from jeremylongshore/tons-of-skills-marketplace at commit cfae287, republished under its MIT licence (© jeremylongshore). 162 words, ~520 tokens.
.claude/skills/sync-profiles/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder).Manage multiple configuration profiles stored in your GitHub backup repo.
bash "${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/scripts/profile-manager.sh" listShows all profiles with file counts, last push time, and which is active.
# Empty profile
bash "${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/scripts/profile-manager.sh" create NAME
# Clone from existing profile
bash "${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/scripts/profile-manager.sh" create NAME --from EXISTINGCreates a new profile. Use --from to clone an existing profile as a starting point.
Switching means pulling a different profile's config:
bash "${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/scripts/sync-pull.sh" --profile NAMEThis backs up current config, then applies the target profile. The active profile is updated automatically.
bash "${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/scripts/profile-manager.sh" delete NAMECannot delete the active profile. Switch to a different one first.
bash "${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/scripts/profile-manager.sh" diff NAME1 NAME2Shows files that exist in only one profile or differ between them.
bash "${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/scripts/profile-manager.sh" info NAMEShows metadata and contents of a specific profile.
Parse the user's action from $ARGUMENTS and run the appropriate command above.
If the user says "switch" to a profile, use the pull script with --profile rather than the profile-manager (since switching = pulling a different profile).
If no action is specified, default to list.

A skill your agent uses when the user wants to list, create, switch, delete, compare, or inspect config sync profiles. Sync Profiles is an agent skill from jeremylongshore/tons-of-skills-marketplace. Use when the user wants to list, create, switch, delete, compare, or inspect config sync profiles.
Sync Profiles fits situations like: the user wants to list; inspect config sync profiles.
Run `npx skills add jeremylongshore/tons-of-skills-marketplace --skill sync-profiles -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (plugins/productivity/claudebase/skills/sync-profiles in jeremylongshore/tons-of-skills-marketplace) into .claude/skills/sync-profiles in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add jeremylongshore/tons-of-skills-marketplace --skill sync-profiles -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (plugins/productivity/claudebase/skills/sync-profiles in jeremylongshore/tons-of-skills-marketplace) into .agents/skills/sync-profiles in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add jeremylongshore/tons-of-skills-marketplace --skill sync-profiles -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/sync-profiles, .gemini/skills/sync-profiles, .github/skills/sync-profiles and .opencode/skills/sync-profiles in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Sync Profiles needs the command-line tools its instructions call (bash). Its frontmatter pre-approves these tools: Bash(bash "${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/scripts/*"), Bash(gh *), Bash(git *), Read.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Sync Profiles is published under the MIT licence (declared in SKILL.md). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 520 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 2.1k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
Skills that share tags, products or a category with Sync Profiles: Profile (ccusage/ccusage, 19k stars), Cpu Profile (ClickHouse/ClickHouse, 50k stars), React Sync (vercel/next.js, 143k stars) and Codex Profiles (sickn33/agentic-awesome-skills, 47k stars). The comparison table on this page puts their stars, adoption, token cost, safety result and licence side by side.
