What it does

Navan Deploy Integration is an agent skill from jeremylongshore/tons-of-skills-marketplace. Deploy a Navan integration with tenant isolation, canary controls, and reversible data flow. Use when releasing an API, file, identity, or finance connector. Trigger with "deploy Navan integration", "release Navan connector", or "canary Navan sync".

Its SKILL.md is about 900 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 2 other files, including reference files (for example `references/official-docs.md`). Compatibility notes: Designed for Claude Code; live or external Navan actions require network access and explicit approval

It sits in DevOps & Cloud, covering Deployment and Multi-tenancy. The repository describes itself as: Model-agnostic agent-skills platform with a harness-free canonical layer, verified adapters, and the ccpi package manager. Explore at tonsofskills.com. The licence is MIT.

When your agent uses it

  • Releasing an API
  • Finance connector
  • With deploy Navan integration
  • Release Navan connector

Example prompts

  • “deploy Navan integration”
  • “release Navan connector”
  • “canary Navan sync”
  • “/navan-deploy-integration”

Requirements

  • Compatibility (from SKILL.md): Designed for Claude Code; live or external Navan actions require network access and explicit approval
  • Pre-approved tools (allowed-tools): Read, Glob, Grep, Write, Edit

Workflow steps

6 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.

  1. Pin the reviewed artifact, contract revision, and configuration manifest.
  2. Deploy dark with network or scheduling disabled.
  3. Verify secret binding, egress allowlist, storage, redaction, and alert routing.
  4. Enable a bounded tenant/window canary and collect reconciliation evidence.
  5. Increase scope only after thresholds and owner review pass.
  6. Keep rollback, replay protection, checkpoints, and raw evidence until acceptance.

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit cfae287. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves these tools, so the agent can use them without asking each time:

    • Read
    • Glob
    • Grep
    • Write
    • Edit

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

    No URLs in SKILL.md.

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

  • Compatibility

Designed for Claude Code; live or external Navan actions require network access and explicit approval

From compatibility in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

Context cost

Navan Deploy Integration loads about 901 tokens when it runs, and up to ~1.2k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 69 tokens; SKILL.md has 369 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~69
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~901
With references · SKILL.md plus every file in references/, read only if the agent opens them
~1.2k

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

Navan Integration Deployment

Overview

Deploy a Navan integration with tenant isolation, canary controls, and reversible data flow. This workflow produces an auditable decision or artifact before any live action.

Prerequisites

  • Access to the selected tenant's current Navan Help Center and contracted integration documentation.
  • A named business owner and data owner for the travel or expense workflow.
  • A non-production evidence set with secrets and traveler data removed.

Current Contract

Deployment binds the application adapter to a documented Navan surface and an approved destination. Separate ingestion, normalization, publication, and write-back so each can stop without losing evidence.

Authentication

Inject a production secret by reference at runtime; bind tenant, host, scope, destination, and environment. Verify revocation and break-glass procedures before traffic.

Instructions

  1. Pin the reviewed artifact, contract revision, and configuration manifest.
  2. Deploy dark with network or scheduling disabled.
  3. Verify secret binding, egress allowlist, storage, redaction, and alert routing.
  4. Enable a bounded tenant/window canary and collect reconciliation evidence.
  5. Increase scope only after thresholds and owner review pass.
  6. Keep rollback, replay protection, checkpoints, and raw evidence until acceptance.

Tool Discipline

Use Read, Glob, and Grep to inspect documentation, schemas, configuration, code, fixtures, and evidence. Use Write and Edit only for approved repository artifacts. Invocation alone does not authorize network access, credentials, traveler or expense data, bookings, payments, policy or identity changes, file transfers, deployments, or deletion.

Approval Boundaries

Production enablement, egress, data movement, scheduling, scope expansion, and write-back require explicit service and data-owner approval.

Error Handling

  • Stop on tenant or destination mismatch.
  • Do not roll forward through unexplained count or total drift.
  • Rollback must preserve the ability to reconcile ambiguous deliveries.

Output

Return artifact and contract IDs, canary scope, controls, metrics, reconciliation, approvals, and rollback receipt. Identify assumptions, owners, expirations, and evidence gaps explicitly.

Examples

  • Dark-deploy a booking ingestion worker before scheduling it.
  • Canary one legal entity for an expense export.

Validation

Exercise disabled mode, revoked secret, egress denial, partial delivery, process restart, and rollback. Record expected and observed results, including fail-closed behavior.

Resources

  • Current first-party evidence map — recheck dated sources and the selected tenant's in-account contract before relying on mutable endpoints, fields, entitlements, limits, or delivery behavior.
  • Record tenant observations as environment-specific evidence, never universal Navan guarantees.
