What it does

Miro Local Dev Loop is an agent skill from jeremylongshore/tons-of-skills-marketplace. Build repository-side scaffolding for a repeatable Miro development loop with isolated apps, fixture boards, contract tests, cleanup, and explicit operator commands. Use when developing Miro integrations locally. Trigger with "start Miro dev loop".

Its SKILL.md is about 1.1k tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 2 other files, including reference files (for example `references/official-docs.md`). Compatibility notes: Designed for Claude Code; live work requires an authorized Miro app and redacted evidence

It sits in Testing & QA, covering Integration testing and Project scaffolding. The repository describes itself as: Model-agnostic agent-skills platform with a harness-free canonical layer, verified adapters, and the ccpi package manager. Explore at tonsofskills.com. The licence is MIT.

When your agent uses it

  • Developing Miro integrations locally
  • With start Miro dev loop

Example prompts

  • “start Miro dev loop”
  • “/miro-local-dev-loop”

Requirements

  • Compatibility (from SKILL.md): Designed for Claude Code; live work requires an authorized Miro app and redacted evidence
  • Pre-approved tools (allowed-tools): Read, Glob, Grep, WebFetch, Write, Edit

Workflow steps

6 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.

  1. Map the feature to REST, Web SDK, or a deliberate hybrid before writing code.
  2. Load configuration by environment and assert that production app, team, and board IDs are absent.
  3. Create deterministic fixture items with a run marker on the dedicated test board.
  4. Run unit tests with schema-faithful fixtures, then one bounded live contract test.
  5. Compare the observed response and rate headers with the recorded contract.
  6. Delete only run-marked fixtures after verifying board ID, item IDs, and ownership; retain a redacted receipt.

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 80f86df. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves these tools, so the agent can use them without asking each time:

    • Read
    • Glob
    • Grep
    • WebFetch
    • Write
    • Edit

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

Links to these hosts (documentation or services it may open):

    • developers.miro.com

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

  • Compatibility

Designed for Claude Code; live work requires an authorized Miro app and redacted evidence

From compatibility in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

Context cost

Miro Local Dev Loop loads about 1.1k tokens when it runs, and up to ~1.3k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 67 tokens; SKILL.md has 465 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~67
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~1.1k
With references · SKILL.md plus every file in references/, read only if the agent opens them
~1.3k

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

Miro Local Development Loop

Overview

Shorten feedback cycles without turning a real collaboration board into a test fixture. Separate configuration, deterministic fixtures, and destructive cleanup; use the evidence produced here to make the next decision explicit and reviewable.

Prerequisites

  • A non-production Miro app and Developer team
  • A dedicated test board with an accountable owner
  • Local configuration names, fixture schema, and cleanup policy

Tool Discipline

Use Read, Glob, and Grep to inspect the repository, configuration names, adapters, tests, and evidence. Use WebFetch only for current official Miro documentation. Use Write or Edit after confirming the requested mode, target environment, tenant, board, and approval boundary. These declared tools do not call authenticated Miro APIs or deployment CLIs; implement client, configuration, and test changes, then return exact operator commands or an approval-gated handoff for live execution.

Current Contract

  • Web SDK code runs only while its Miro app context is loaded on a board.
  • REST OAuth and Web SDK authorization are separate; hybrid apps must configure both flows.
  • Board operations are asynchronous and can take time to synchronize.
  • REST test traffic consumes the same per-user/per-application credit budget as other callers.

Authentication

For REST work, use OAuth 2.0 Authorization Code with the narrowest Miro scopes. Bind each encrypted token record to its user, application, authorized team, and granted scopes. Never print access tokens, refresh tokens, client secrets, authorization codes, or board content.

Instructions

Approval Boundaries

Do not expose a local callback publicly, install an app to another team, or delete unmarked board content without explicit approval. Pause when the responsible owner or exact target is uncertain.

Output

Return environment guards, fixture IDs as hashes, test results, observed contract drift, cleanup count, and leftovers. State what was not inspected or changed so the receipt cannot overclaim coverage.

Error Handling

ConditionResponse
Production identifier detectedAbort before making any request.
Fixture create partially failsStop, inventory confirmed creations, and clean only those IDs.
Asynchronous state is not visibleRetry a bounded read with jitter; do not duplicate the write.
Cleanup ownership is uncertainLeave the item and flag it for a board owner.

Examples

The example is a redacted operator receipt; identifiers are hashes or bounded labels, not board content or credentials.
