langfuse-common-errorsDiagnose and fix common Langfuse errors and exceptions. An agent skill from jeremylongshore/tons-of-skills-marketplace.
Langfuse Common Errors is an agent skill from jeremylongshore/tons-of-skills-marketplace. Diagnose and fix common Langfuse errors and exceptions. Use when encountering Langfuse errors, debugging missing traces, or troubleshooting integration issues. Trigger with phrases like "langfuse error", "fix langfuse", "langfuse not working", "debug langfuse", "traces not appearing".
Its SKILL.md is about 2.3k tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts. Compatibility notes: Designed for Claude Code
It sits in AI & LLM Engineering, covering LLM observability. It works with Langfuse. The repository describes itself as: Model-agnostic agent-skills platform with a harness-free canonical layer, verified adapters, and the ccpi package manager. Explore at tonsofskills.com. The licence is MIT.
10 steps, taken from the step headings in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit cfae287. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves these tools, so the agent can use them without asking each time:
ReadGrepBash(curl:*)From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
curlnpmdockernodepython3pipFrom the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
Hosts in commands or code, which the agent is likely to contact:
cloud.langfuse.comAlso links to:
langfuse.comstatus.langfuse.comgithub.comFrom URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names these keys or tokens, usually read from environment variables:
LANGFUSE_PUBLIC_KEYLANGFUSE_SECRET_KEYFrom names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Designed for Claude Code
From compatibility in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Langfuse Common Errors loads about 2.3k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 77 tokens; SKILL.md has 417 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check noted patterns worth knowing about, such as sudo or a known installer.
// Load .env at the very top of your entry fileconfig({ path: ".env.local" });Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from jeremylongshore/tons-of-skills-marketplace at commit cfae287, republished under its MIT licence (© jeremylongshore). 417 words, ~2,289 tokens.

Do not include API keys, authorization headers, or raw customer prompts in the report.
If a proposed fix changes credentials, endpoint, SDK major version, or retention settings, stop after the diagnostic result and require the operator to make or approve that configuration change. Keep the original error and sanitized diagnostic output for escalation rather than retrying requests indefinitely.
For a 401 error, verify that both project keys are set and that the base URL points to the same project; then send one low-risk trace and confirm it appears in that project. For missing traces, add the documented shutdown/flush behavior, rerun the smallest reproduction, and check the dashboard before changing sampling or credentials.

Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Langfuse Common Errors needs the command-line tools its instructions call (curl, npm, docker, node, python3 and pip) and credentials named LANGFUSE_PUBLIC_KEY and LANGFUSE_SECRET_KEY. Our summary lists: Python 3; Node.js; Docker; A credential in LANGFUSE_PUBLIC_KEY; A credential in LANGFUSE_SECRET_KEY. Its frontmatter pre-approves these tools: Read, Grep, Bash(curl:*). Compatibility (from SKILL.md): Designed for Claude Code.
SKILL.md names 4 domains. In commands or code: cloud.langfuse.com; the agent is likely to contact it when it follows the instructions. As links in the text: langfuse.com, status.langfuse.com and github.com. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found notes only (mentions a .env file), nothing it rates as a warning. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Langfuse Common Errors is published under the MIT licence (declared in SKILL.md). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 2.3k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 9.2k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
